crackfic idea - last thing riko is aware of is ichirou putting the gun to his head. he can't even recall if he ever heard a gunshot. all he knows is that everything went dark and then the next time he opened his eyes, he's on the ground, the buildings around him look suuuuuper tall and every person has become a giant. he can't seem to stand up (he can walk on his four limbs though), he can't seem to speak (he can meow though) and he has no idea where he is. but then as luck would have it, he sees a person he recognizes and he immediately understands his situation: he's been granted another chance on earth to take revenge upon the miserable little cockroach and the psycho goalie who did this to him. so riko goes to confront neil and andrew, but instead of all the insults and words he has in his head, all that comes out is an angry hiss. still, he does his best to make himself look big and intimidating by arching his back and raising his tail and charging them while moving side-to-side. they have to gall to ignore riko so riko has no choice but to follow them home. a few hours later, they've taken him to the vet, doused him in a cold shower, and given him food and a towel to sleep on, despite how much riko tried to fight them off. neil seems to have decided to call him king something something (riko isn't totally sure what he's calling him, but at least he's learned enough to respect to call riko 'king' so. why not let him?) all this, of course, (including the part where riko comes running every time he hears andrew open the cupboard where the tasty treats are kept) is a part of riko's masterful revenge plan: getting them to trust him and let their guard down so that he will be able to slit their throats in their sleep with ease.

Neil is so fucking funny, I feel like every read through I notice a new thing that he does that is just absolute comedy gold. I never fully processed the fact that he was lowkey being funny as fuck in Baltimore. He wakes up from being knocked out and sees Lola sitting backwards in a wooden chair, obviously trying to seem intimidating and fully expecting Neil to be frightened considering what she had done to him on the car ride there. But instead of showing any sign of fear, Neil (who fully believes he is going to die), looks at how badly Lola messed up his hands/arms and is like “uh these have to be cleaned?? Do you even know how infections work??” and when Lola reminds him that it literally doesn’t matter because he’s going to die, he just gets up off the ground and wanders over to the sink to wash them anyways. Like, he definitely believed her, he’s just like that. Then, best part of all, once he finishes washing his wounds out, he realizes that he can’t towel dry them (for obvious reasons) and literally turns back around to look at Lola and sticks his arms out in front of him to drip dry. Like Lola is just sitting there in her chair while Neil looks at her like
