Confess and get the fuck out
People are killing me with the OTT reaction the Arya/Gendry scene. Let me lay down some cold hard facts here:
- Maisie Williams and Joe Dempsie are only 9/10 years apart in age.Â
- Yes, when they first worked together, she was in her early teens, but as Joe said himselfâbecause he is near-perfection among men and stan-worthy beyond compare:Â
Itâs obviously slightly strange for me because Iâve known Maisie since she was 11, 12 years old. At the same time, I donât want to be patronizing toward Maisie â sheâs a 20-year-old woman. *
- Letâs repeat that again⊠Maisie Williams was 20 years old when she filmed this scene. Like, she was LITERALLY out of her teens when she filmed this not even at all sexually graphic sex scene.
- Maisie Williams was given COMPLETE agency in how much nudity she wanted to show of herself.Â
Williams says the showrunners let her decide precisely how much to show. âDavid and Dan were like: âYou can show as much or as little as you wantâŠââ *
- Everyone on set worked to make her comfortable. Maisie was in control.
[Per producer/writer Bryan Cogman] â We were very careful to make sure Maisie [Williams] was comfortable and everything was on her terms. â **
- Arya Stark is 18 years old on the show. HBO made sure to make that pretty clear. At least HBO_UK did per this tweet. Note the time and date.
- Arya made the decision to have sex.
- Arya, just like Maisie, was in complete control.Â
- Oh, and by the way, since Gendry had been a victim of sexual assault himselfâbecause, yeah, Melisandre did rape himâthe show also gave him his own agency by specifically having Arya tell him to take off his own damn pants⊠which he did willingly. Full consent by both parties.
This sex scene was a completely legal, mutual, consensual sexual experience between two charactersâplayed by two perfectly legal (and hot) actorsâwho were friends first with a foundation built on trust and a strong bond who have a healthy, sexual attraction now that they have reunited as adults.
So pretty please, do kindly get the fuck over it, people.

i thought u said u don't like high school dramas is sassy go go that attractive to you
Itâs because it reminds me of Kaichou Wa Maid-sama which i used to like a lot. So yes, it is attractive. Iâm weak to male leads like that, who are all cold and cool yet care for the girl too much from the get-go, and It also has the tomboy-ish female lead. Iâm usually there for romance, and I like what iâm getting in this one. Itâs been only two episodes and we already had so much skinship and cute stares.

Oh My Ghostess Review: Episodes 9-10
Why do I feel like Iâm rooting for the second female lead? Isnât Na Bong Sun the lead or is it Soon Ae? It canât be Soon AeâŠrightâŠshe is dead! I still loved Sun Woo this week though, and we learn a little more about Officer Choi!!!
Episode 9:
I really loved Sun Wooâs confession. You know it wasnât planned. He just said what was on his heart. What I loved even more is that Bong Sun was able to hear the confession. She is so startled by what is happening to her right now she runs out. She doesnât know what to say to Sun Woo. I like watching them being nervous around each other. It is so cute. I want more REAL OTP time. I know that Bong Sun and Soon Ae agreed to this team work. I also know that Sun Woo likes the real Bong Sun more than the Soon Ae version of her, but Soon Ae is having to much time with Sun Woo. Bong Sun getâs the cliff notes of what is going on between her and Sun Woo.
So it seems that Soon Ae has genuine feelings for Sun Woo now?!?!? UGH!!!! I didnât want this to happen because I know that it was going to cause issues. Once Soon Ae has real feelings for Sun Woo she wonât necessarily hinder the relationship between Bong Sun and him, but she might start to want more. I donât dislike Soon AeâŠI just find herâŠannoying. Although her selfish acts have calmed down the last few episodes she is still only really looking out for herself. I liked her  team work with Bong Sun at first but now I feel like Soon Ae is on the winning end of this deal. Iâm rooting for the REAL NA BONG SUN though!!! I honestly still donât know if Soon Ae voluntarily left Bong Sunâs body or was she pushed out somehow.Â
While Soon Ae deals with her emotions, Sun Woo and Bong Sun glow in the aftermath of the kiss and confession. Both to nervous to sleep. When the OTP gets genuine time my hearts flutters for them. Writers PLEASE I BEG OF YOUâŠgive me more of real Bong Sun and Sun Woo time. Why would you set up this ship if you are going to have Sun Woo spend more time with Soon Ae than the girl he initially seemed attracted to. WAE!!!
I am so enjoying the fact that Sun Woo is still turning down Soon Aeâs advances. Soon Ae believed that now that they are dating that it wouldnât be long before they have sex. In her mind itâs a done deal now, but Sun Woo is not rushing. Awww!!!
We finally get to see a little about Officer Choiâs backstory. Itâs still crumbs though. The backstory confirmed that he is possessed, but we donât really get much more than that. He was possessed as a teenager, but Iâm not sure if itâs the same ghost that is possessing him now. Iâm wondering if the same ghost keeps possessing him like how Soon Ae does with Bong Sun or has the same ghost just never left his body and has been living as him all this time. We also learn how he met Eun Hee. It was after her accident at the hospital, but I still believe he may have had something to do with her accident. Either way Iâm scared for Eun Hee. It doesnât seem like he would hurt her, but we can see that he would hurt anybody just to keep her accident as an unsolved case even his partner.
Because Sun Woo keeps turning down Soon Aeâs advances they have a petty fight. Soon Ae doesnât understand why they just canât hurry up and have sex especially since they are dating. Sun Woo wantâs to take things slow. He treats sex as a big deal. Soon Ae did make some valid points about why are woman now allowed to say that they want sex. Why are they looked down upon just because they admit that they like having sex. In her opinion she just want to have sex with the man she is dating. But I am still happy that Sun Woo is putting his foot down when it comes to this. He doesnât feel the need to rush to have sex. I do understand both of their points in the argument. Even Bong Sun agrees with Sun Woo!!!
With it being the Sous Chefâs birthday the Sun crew go out to celebrate with out Sun Woo (side note: Am I the only one that finds the Sous Chef annoying at times?). I like when the go out to party. The Sun crew seem to be VIPâs!!! Or maybe the writer, director, producer. I got so giddy when they sing Big Bang songs!!!
The celebration goes all night like they always do. Bong Sun (Soon Ae) is so drunk she end up outside with a helmet onâŠlolâŠPark Bo Young was to cute in this scene. Joon goes looking for her and when he finds her they have a nice conversation.  I really like Joon. I honestly canât really say he likes Bong Sun. He may like her, but know her heart is with the Chef or someone so he just watches from the side. Or he may just care for her in a sister way. Either way I enjoy their scenes. His smile is tooooo adorable!!!
Because Sun Woo is worried/jealous about Bong Sun being out with a bunch of men he goes looking for her. OkayâŠtechnically it was the text that let him know that the Sun crew ended up at a motel that sent him running, but he was already pacing his room before thatâŠlolâŠhe is so cute. He finally pulls Bong Sun out of the motel room that the Sun crew went to and takes her to sober up. When Bong Sun (Soon Ae still) sobers up they have a talk. They havenât really talked since they had the fight about sex.Sun Woo explains is position on having sex. He wants to date Bong Sun for a long timeâŠ.awwww!!! It may seem conservative compared to how other adults his age are when it comes to dating, but he is genuine about how he feels about her. AWWWWWW!!! I love that Sun Woo is this way. Not only for the fact that it keeps Soon Ae at bay, but it can be hard to find a guy that will really wait to have sex. He is not saying that he doesnât want to, but he wants to enjoy all the little moments like holding hands first!!! Sun Woo is a true romantic!!!
Episode 10: Â
Sun Woo and Bong Sun (Soon Ae) make it back to the restaurant, and they have the cutest scene (although I canât fully enjoy). Bong Sun doesnât want to let go of Sun Wooâs hand. He tries to act like he doesnât like Bong Sun acting like this but he canât stop smilingâŠaww Sun Woo you are too cute. Their moment is interrupted by Sun Wooâs mom. I thought she wouldnât be to much of a problem for the OTP. Granted she doesnât seem like she will ever be a real threat, but she sure does try this episode. It doesnât seem like she has anything against Bong Sun personally. She just thinks that she is more of a child than a woman. She pushes So Hyeong toward Sun Woo this episode. It doesnât completely bother me yet that she is doing this, but So Hyeong knows that Sun Woo doesnât look at her as a woman. Even though she told his mother this I feel like she didnât really do much to push that point. She let his mother run with the information she had in her head.
So I feel like the writers want us to sympathize with Soon Ae, which I do. I honestly feel sorry that she didnât get to live her life and that it was cut short. Although sad you canât reverse her death. The writers are focusing so much on Soon Aeâs story that we really donât know much about Bong Sun. There are 6 episodes left and they still have time to focus on Bong Sun, but this week made me worry that I might not like the direction that they are taking the story.
The real Bong Sun was on screen for about 5 minutes as Sun Woo put together a fan for her. OhâŠalmost forgot about  the fact that he walked out to her talking to Soon Ae. She played it off, but is this a hint that he might find out soon that Bong Sun is being possessed or at the least see ghost. It seems like Soon Ae does feel some sort of guilt that she has feelings for Sun Woo when she is talking to Bong Sun.
Joon is noticing how Sun Woo and Bong Sun seem to getting closer. He isnât saying anything yet, but Joon is a man of few words. He watches them. It doesnât seem like itâs from a point of jealousy though. Honestly though they are not the most discreet couple. Sun Woo tries to not make it obvious who he want to go with him when he goes to the market, but he turns down the other staff offers to go with him. They have so many times when they go off have private conversations. Someone is going to find out soon if they keep acting like they have.
It looks like Officer Choi has figured out that Bong Sun is possessed. When the OTP is out he searches Bong Sunâs room. We also see that he is the one that killed Soon Ae, but we donât know why yet. Once againâŠwhy is Soon Ae not trying to figure out how she died!!! I shouldnât be comparing ghost but in Arang & The Magistrate; Arang wanted to know who she was first and then she curious to how she died. Wouldnât most ghost who have lost their memory want to know those things too? She found out who she was in episode 4 & 5, so why hasnât she even questioned how she died?
The âOTPâ had so many cute moments this episode, but I canât enjoy them any more. Soon Ae is the one that getâs to live all these moments. Iâm not ready to give up on this drama because I do like the story, but every week I feel like Soon Ae is the female lead. Isnât Sun Woo suppose to end up with Bong Sun? If the writers do not give Bong Sun so more air time I will be really disappointed in this drama.
Soon Ae decides that she doesnât want to go on the overnight trip that she has been begging Sun Woo to go on because that means she will relieve her grudge. Soon Ae is not ready to go yet because she is getting to experience dating for the first time. She wantâs to enjoy dating Sun Woo for a little bit longerâŠinsert eye roll. Its official. I am completely done with Soon Ae. She is so selfish. The grudge that you have been running around Seoul trying relieve is finally about to happen, but you donât want it now because you want to date more!?!?!? Forget that you are only suppose to be using Bong Sunâs body to relieve this grudge. Forget about how Bong Sun would feel. Itâs not like you donât know that she likes Sun Woo and that you are suppose to be helping HER get him. Despite Soon Aeâs efforts to derail her and Sun Woo having sex it seems like it might happen with how the episode ended, but it is a kdrama anything can happen to prevent them from actually going all the way.
On one hand I like that Sun Woo is so honest with his feelings, but so is Soon Ae. When she is telling Sun Woo that she likes him I know it is really coming from her heart and not just saying it because of she knows Bong Sun feels that way. I canât say that Iâm fully excited about this drama anymore. With the direction that the writer is taking it at this point bother me. My mind understands Soon Ae to a certian point, but heart has been with Bong Sun since episode 1. When will the writer make her seem like the female lead again? At this point she is just a vessel for Soon Ae. I canât say it enough⊠I WANT MORE OF THE REAL NA BONG SUN!!!
I totally agree with you. This isnt fair for the real bongsun
I really like you today, Na Bong-sun.
