"pool party, yes or yes?"
@kjtack
it takes jinam a moment to realize that the question had been indeed directed towards him rather than some other random passerby in the moment. so it goes without saying that the settling silence between them drags for a while longer than itâs supposed to as his fingers carry on tapping against his phone screen at a swift pacing, the text more than likely being some completely dumb shit heâd read in the foreign news yesterday or heard in the club, or even the hallways when finding his next class, seeming how the small grin on his face curls up with lacing mischief that stretches from one corner to the other. entertainment.Â
itâs only after he presses send, he notices that after all of that anticipation, that dramatic prolonged silence, heâs sent the text to the wrong person. and heâs too late to switch to airplane mode, too, to cancel out his mistake. oh, shit. was this karma for making daehyun wait for an answer? perhaps. but hopefully that other personâs phone falls in the toilet soon. or something like that.Â
âpool party? alright, hold on iâll ask.â the corner of his mouth nearly twitches when his phone vibrates a second he rests it down onto the table to sit up out of his chair. he ignores it, though. itâll probably read something like âwhat the fUCKâ. it was always the wtf. he didnât know daehyun enough to predict a reaction out of him just yet, a reaction to what he was about to do, but he knew enough about himself to confidentially admit that anybody would go âwhat the fuckâ again or âsit downâ in three, two, oneâ
âHEY, would anyone like to go to a pool party tonight? yeah, or yeah?â his voice is loud enough to silence majority of the cafeteria as it echoes through with bass and all, almost like a trap mix. heads turn their way and many eyes stare in confusion, some narrowed in suspicion as if wondering if this is a drill or not. but it doesnât matter to jinam. all he does is give out the time and what anyone who would like to come could potentially bring to make things more fun, then reassures anyone whoâs listening, even daehyun, that the school would surely allow it. âbecause they love their students, right?â so why canât they have a little fun tonight, right?Â
thereâs no harm in some free booze and cute girls in two piece bikinis.
@naysi
a first grader? oh please, just how far was his head stuck up in the clouds to not take notice her chin was hitting near shoulder length of his own build? or close at least, and potentially higher on those lucky days she vouched for shoes that offered some additional platform and height to them. that was the trick around jinam to earn any type of acknowledgement from jinam; make your presence as vibrant as possible to show that you are actually there. he may be gifted in the aspect of height, but when it came to the area of brightness he fell a little more short. very punny.
on the contrary, there was no residue of dirt in her mouth and she merely stuck out her tongue like a little kid when they want to end a bickering argument without having to use a verbal response, her hands falling to her hips as her glare pierced through the height difference shared between the two. âi hope it starts raining so i can use your big head as an umbrella, itâll hit you first.â the lining of her shoe was next to come into contact with his foot, yet again pressing forcible impact onto the area as the measly comeback she had to offer to his boosting confidence about himself.Â
âiâll give you one last chance to redeem yourself..â the annoyance of the wind caused her hair to cascade in a messy array across her forehead, a sure contradiction to the strong tone she was using to make sure his attention had been caught. second note of the jinam trickery. âif you give me a piggy back ride to get street food then iâll forget all about you acting as if my existence was hard to find!â and cue the dramatic internal eye roll at the embarrassment of her tactic, trying to weasel her way into making him catering to whatever it was she desired at that moment. who knows, she might actually get lucky.
aish, seriously? this girl really knew her stuff when it came down to situations such as these, around him at least... or maybe he were just that simple of a person, as easy to read and figure out as a guilty child who was up to no good, maybe. he couldnât quite put a pointing finger on it in the moment, at least not directly, in any try. because, he just didnât know how. couldnât tell how. didnât care at this point.
it was only one thing that went truly acknowledged in the short span of her spoken words, that one mentioned term, oh, so infamous in all itâs glory, that could never go past him at any time or rate. all it took was the trigger word to convince him to agree to her offer, his lean posture going rigid for a moment as if setting himself under a particular behaviour that could guarantee him a full stomach by the end of this... encounter. food.
how dare she use it on him like that? whether she knew about it or not; his passionate and surely undying love for food, it still did made him suddenly feel like a dog on a leash. tricky little shit. his nostrils threaten to flare and exhale fire throughout the extension of his childish, internal bristling, as he shifts sheer trust to his exterior, to his angelic profile and shoulders that are squared backwards to support her grasp and then light weight when she climbs on his hunched figure. Â
âget on with it.â he grumbles under his breath as hair falls into disarray on his face, speaking as politely as he possible can careful to not deter her from the offer, and the moment sheâs more than likely settled comfortably onto the broadness of his back, arms locked around his shoulders, he takes off into the streets, long legs stretching into strides. to other people they look like a couple in a hurry to whatever date theyâd planned for the day, though in actuality they were anything but. a very large contrast might he add. all he wanted was food. and maybe a drink, too. even if he could just have those later in the club.Â
with surprising agility for someone who is carrying another, he avoids the growing crowd as he slips through and in between, âare you going to pull the,â pitchy, his voice grows pitchy for just a sentence, ââoh, i might have offered but you can payâ thing on me?â he could already feel his wallet weigh in his pocket, though because it was actually full. that broke boy shit isnât happening in this life. the thought makes him snort. it doesnât take long for them to reach the small street market, smaller than in myeong-dong but itâs something, and in their area. and it takes much less for him to bring them to the front of a twigim stand, politely greeting the elderly lady who stands behind it.Â
âi want all of it.â
@jkbaws
She wasnât even that much into anime, thereâs plenty other people more guilty to the unconventional addiction than her but she was the kind of person that went along to whatever her friends liked. Not to fit in, but to show enthusiasm over what interests them. Thatâs one definition of a friend to her. And generally what she expects, she tries to offer to the people that mattered. Or the ones that could potentially matter? Thereâs not much known about the male just yet but first impressions always gave the head-start. Itâs a good one with these two despite how briefly theyâve spoken.
Responds were well on his part with how she started up playful. He was a stranger after all. Anyone would have been thrown off with a random âewâ but he goes along with her attempt at turning it around even if it was obvious that the meaning she shares was just an afterthought to pick it back up, cover up for her deceit.
Then he follows up with a compliment. Jennie might seem uncomfortable receiving them and she would be because it really was tricky. Itâs mostly on the surface, because itâs awkward to simply accept. What if they think sheâs self-absorbed? She used to be that person so it wasnât hard to draw what image people might see. And then thereâs the worry that it might be sugar coated. Who knows? But deep inside, sheâs bouncing on her bottom. Most everyone liked hearing good things about themselves â itâs perfectly fine.
So she guesses this guy is one of them, those anime buffs. The ones who knew every single opening song; ending songs sometimes, too. All of which theyâd sing passionately in a chorus down to the second voices and the bass imitations or whatever else was part of the instrumental when theyâre mingled with the rest of their kind; make references to characters whenever theyâre reminded; argue who the 'best girlâ is, whoâs a more relevant character, and so on. The types who would invest time to sit down and watch a whole series in one go, or at least half of it â which was also perfectly fine.
She had hobbies of her own that leaned towards the Japanese art genre. Apart from occasionally watching as well (usually with friends who recommended ones that sheâd thought were actually worth her precious time), she played games for one. Though not much anymore with her busy schedules making that a bit of a luxury.
Classic Jennie. She was subconsciously like this to everyone and she still wouldnât be aware until itâs directly pointed out to her. This meaning she not only friendzoned guys, she would brotherzonethem, fatherzone, even unclezone them regardless if she had a serious partner she was committed to. Like now, which she still found odd sometimes especially with how long theyâve been together so far and seeing as all the past ones turned out to be very ugly lessons.
Even in this moment, she was unaware she was curving him. Partly because the idea that people still naturally took interest in her pretty face and celebrity status was shoved to the very back of her mind.
The mimicking of the serial killer monstrous bear laughter ensues which gets her embarrassed right away, face warming up. Burning now, actually, and it reaches her ears. âYes, that one! I think theyâre not actually⌠related, though. He was just possessively calling her his step-sister. So he could control over her? Kinda like an oppa-dongsaeng relationship, huh?â She says all amidst the conscious concealment of her cheek with both palms. âCorrect me if Iâm wrong.â The statement applies to both.
She remembers clearly that guy was into another guy. So was he implyingâŚ? Probably not. âJuzo? Sakakura?â That was her making sure she has the right person in mind. Sheâs debating whether she should ask for clarification or leave it for later. âHmm, I see. Youâre a hardcore⌠asshole⌠then?â Now which was worse, this question or the question about his sexual orientation? Jennie, Jennie, Jennie.
this might sound a bit sad to some, upsetting to most, and actually neither of to none, but it needs to be brought alight that majority of his daily life since heâd left home to come deal with other people in seoul as a grown man, jinam spends it in the dark, scared that he might say or do something that would ruin his image at any moment. by in the dark is simply meant that heâs just absolutely fricking confused all of the damn time, especially whenever someone questions him with suspicion on something that heâd said just before, like she were doing. and yeah, sorry, it isnât some depressing ass secret or anything. so hopefully your hopes hadnât gone up too high to hear about the bastard making a special appearance in a sob story. at least not too severe.
questioning him just meant that he had to conjure up more thoughts into his empty head again, to figure out what in the world the questions meant exactly or were attempting to imply, âcause that was a thing too. then followed the most important step, which was to puzzle his responding words and carefully choose what he would say nextâwhich heâd never truly done in his life before. not even in private, in practice, when speaking to his parents. it was all just a jumble of impulse that slid with reckless haste off his tongue, each just as essential as the other since they were mostly what painted an imagery of him in another personâs mind, regardless of his looks.
and they always ended up thinking of him as a fool, a witty little whiny prick. so applying that theory to that fact right now would say enough about his choice of words when around people. bad. bad like that answer heâd given her. well, supposedly, since she were questioning him about it.
but why? juzo was a cool dude. not the friendliest, sure, but strong and loyal to his best friend munakata. even when heâd gotten betrayed he were still determined to find a way out of the hell they were going through for munakata and the rest. even if it meant dying. ah, wellâhe were going to die either way but you get the gist. so why was she asking about it like that? like she were alluding to something else, something that he most likely chose to ignore while watching the show. a little detail off sakakura that sheâd picked up on and stuck with until now. like, for a second there it sounded like she were really questioning him about his sexual orientationâfuck.
no no no no !Â
jennie, jennie, jennie.Â
âno! what the- I donât mean it like that...â
while hastily shaking his head, he reaches out and presses both of his hands onto her shoulders in brief defeat. this wasnât how it was supposed to go, not at all. it was supposed to be an innocent comparison between the two, obviously personality wise at most. he didnât dare lean towards the sexual orientation part of the relationship between juzo and munakata. it wasnât meant to be relevant in this conversation. âwhy are you doing this...â unbelievable. pure evil. this was worse than the curve.
but suddenly, he finds a gap on how to hopefully turn it around, and takes the risk, yet again on absentminded impulse, âwait, could it be that youâre into that kind of stuff?â you nasty, he breathes then, hoping that she would turn so red it would seem like sheâs burning from the inside out, that she would coil away from his hold as he bathes in rightful triumph. there canât possibly be a way for her to flip the table again could there? he wonât allow her to win this. little usami--step-sister, whatever she considered herself being at this point. this isnât a game, this is a competition. with the following remark, a sly smirk is evident. âyaoi?â

Good Morning đ
so like m/m bro plot thing (( bc i can never get enough of âem tbh )) where theyâre best friends and one day theyâre just hanging out when one of them is like âdude did you know certain foods can make ur cum taste better??â and the other is like âbroâŚ. we should try this. .. .for scienceâÂ
So are you my step brother Monokuma?
@jkbaws
oh, shit. another weeb? seriously, that boy jaebin is more than enough of them to deal with already. just stealing a little glance at the mangas and other bullshit that the boy has lying about his dorm room sets him off with a false gag, TRIGGERED, tearing a dragged sigh from his throat and erupting his head into a gradual shake. children, them and their foolish interests towards drawn figures and inhuman fighting scenes. or romance, the worse category of them all in his opinion. thoughts of these sorts would crawl along his mind whenever he picks one up and pops it open in his lap, reading according to whatever order he pleased to read it into at that moment, even if it didnât make any sense as he went.
the titles, names, faces, he would never remember any of them after emerging himself from the waste of time it would turn out to be in the end. mostly because he would never bother to read or memorize anything from the book to begin with, because what point was there in that, really? the word denial flickers in his head, though he swears he is anything but denying the fact that his interest catches aflame at some point. and not the bad flame, either. he would be damned if another weeb came into his life right now, ruining it with their stupid anime and making him accept his fate. but this girl was pretty, so he had no reason to sweep her away. there was no time to.
âyou talking about the killer bear?â his lips draw together, then he purses them for a moment with a low reverberating hum coiling in his throat. in thought, not so deep. monokuma was a cute little shit, admittedly. pupupupu he would giggle at the end of each spoken threat. and not that vague, mediocre shit that you hear in low budget movies sometimes. the real stuff, involving real gore and danger. one thing he didnât think of, though, was that he could potentially have been the other bearâs brother. the half-pink one⌠errrâŚ. usami. his sistâ
WAIT, was she already siblingzone-ing him? like this? with an anime reference?Â
damn. weebs.
âno, iâd rather be juzoâŚâ the answer âyesâ was sitting at the tip of his tongue, but the realization makes him swallow it back, his lips folding inward and lids blinking innocently, squishing together. âhe was an asshole, but still hardcore, though. my kind of guy.âÂ
"how is the weather like up there?"
@naysi
âsplendid, nayeon-ah.âÂ
he knows itâs her voice, that angelic voice he would hear singing live on stage sometimes, recognizable at most times. so his reply came easy, seeming as he were speaking the truth that many others took as some degree of offense to their excessive height majority of the time, and would spit an  insult back towards their offender for it. but not him! he certainly takes pride in his height, his long dangling arms and legs that make tasting the fresh clouds possible every morning. itâs surely something to gawk at, and he were glad itâs his.
thank her for the concerning question was the second that came to mind, but then he notices that thereâs actually a little problem at hand. a very small and brief and lost problem. though tilting his head downwards right now sounds like too much a hassle, so he continues on, soft gaze in the clouds, silken hair brown and blowing in the wind. imagine it like a stunning scene from a drama, that great angle capturing the brown in his eyes and the shape of his jaw. Â
if only the picture could capture her, too, beside him as they marvel at the sky alongside each other, silently wondering whoâs gonna make the first move. but too bad she can barely even reach a damned shoulder of his with that cheap height, let alone come forth in the shot with him, contributing to the scene with her own beauty. âthank you for asking.â he muses, tone gliding the words smoothly off his tongue. like that one hero from a romance anime that everyone has a crush on. âbut where are you, though?âÂ
sike, though. this was reality. reciprocation is important, isnât it?
âcanât tell. the weatherâs too good.â this was jinam. âand youâre tooâŚâ he almost snorts. âyouâre buried too far down there. i bet even a first grader could beat your height. you midget.â finally, those soft yet deadly eyes of his cut across her features, a cued smirk coiling in. âhowâs the dirt taste?â
our synergy is awesome.
@byeolsosaâ
the clap that blooms in the air is barely audible when he presses it shut, the expected sound fabricated by the freshly printed inking in the gray scaled book he were reading from. and NO, not a porn magazine this time. the boy has probably had enough of seeing those around already since the first of hanging in his hyungâs dorm room. jinam might have been dumb, slow, but considerate enough to acknowledge that.Â
âitâs because you have been hanging around me too much lately.â he says after a stiffed yawn, tone as flat as his ass as he stretches those long legs of his across the floor that was not his own, like two chopsticks being separated from one another. âand obviously, me around you, too. what even is this?â then he is squirming on the floor like a squealing pig caught in a net, though not yet ready to become someoneâs breakfast. or more so a dirt worm, those that crawl in your ear or something. nevertheless, possibly the largest one jaebin has ever seen in his life. each foot that accumulates to the lucky number seven, or at least almost, wiggling on his dorm room floor until the tall bastard is on his back, sprawling like the entire spacing was his for the taken.
he book, or manga as jaebin calls it is almost pushed and hidden under the bed when his arms draw across the surface until sitting in the most comfortable spot for now. what was the name of it again? he canât remember it as he blinks at a wall that blinks back in his head, barely even recalling the reading order even if heâd just closed the book for a short break. or a permanent one for the night. âyou got any more food? you drink? letâs go drink. see if we can hold the same amount.â until we pass out in the club. on some nice pair of boobs, hopefully.Â
âsynergyâ fancy word. the corners of his lips curl, upwards of course, as he snaps a finger. he knows his hope will go to waste, but it didnât hurt to be optimistic⌠sometimes. maybe itâs jaebin and his weird, oblivious personality that brings him to a stand, makes him forget about how his failure is usually because if his impulse. though needless to say at this point, jaebin canât say no. âand take off that hat.â
         âiâd rather learn while starting.â
I was about to catch feelings, but I ate a snickers because Iâm not myself when Iâm hungry
@byeolsosa and his lit club promo
âhey, join us.â as timid as it sounds, it still rings not too far away in his ears as he rounds the corner of the building in a lazy saunter, a hand rubbing at the back of his cramping neck from dozing off in the previous class, boring as hell, as he contemplates skipping for the rest of the day. at first he doesnât pay much mind to it, though. whoever it was that were leeching off all the attention just to get some people to join their stupid club was not important to him in the moment. any idiot should know that this method was too simple and naive to convince a couple of college studentsâmost of them exhausted to the bones and brains, some addicted to caffeine and others deprived of sleep and other unmentioned things.
but he gets closer and closer to the scene, his steps turning into strides as he notices what he couldnât yet find a grasp onto from back there. a small group of people, standing in front of a... a male. those hairy legs were undoubtedly male, and that hat. he had no doubt that they were simply just making a fuss to entertain the boy, the females giggling behind their sleeves and one of them surely recording the encounter.Â
with park jaebin. co-âfounderâ of the sosurim literature club. surprisingly so.
gods, what the hell was he doing now? up on his own, dressed up like that on the school premises. was that even legal? or anywhere near appropriate for that matter? wasnât this supposed to count as some degree of sexual harassment? look at him, fitted in a dressâhow the hell did he even get his hands on a dress, let alone wear it for this shit? well, at least he has enough brains to look as distressed as he seems, a damsel that was never meant to be. boy, this is pure comedy gold.
after frantically fiddling with his bag, then searching his pockets because it werenât in his bag to begin with, jinam retrieves his phone and approaches closer, sneaking up behind his clueless friend as he hands out another flier, and before the sucker can turn entirely, he loops a lengthy arm around his shoulders and holds out the camera set phone in front of them in the best angle he could with a stretched out arm, smashing the button for repetitive shots before jaebin can escape his hold. he were afraid that by the end of the day he might even sue the guy for simply being an eyesore. he looks even worse up close.
seriously, though, whereâd he get that dress?
âmind if i take you out on a date tonight, princess?â he chimes merrily while he tucks the device away, almost snorting in between spoken words. âwhy are you out here hogging up all the attention to yourself? give me a few of those, iâll get it over with.â
sleepy bear seungjun
âshould i be productive for once and join a sports team?â
the only answer that presses into his ears is the consuming silence. like a predator it sits about and rounds every corner with itâs sharp talons, consuming of the stretching light and coiling warmth that threatens to settle at the very depth of the poolâitâs home. and it consumes of him too, gradually as he ventures about the underlie, absentminded and air thinning in his pressured lungs as he lets it go. but nothing happens, for itâs his oblivion to the risk that saves him every time. still, patiently it waits for him to listen as it beckons to no end, evoking thoughts in his head that heâd never thought he would wonder about in his life. ever.Â
like joining a sports team now. even though they are harmless, his idiocy neutralizing anything too dangerous, what the fuck..
jinam, in all his glory, extends his arms out almost as if reaching for a hand that wasnât there, then they fold as he pushes onward, bathing in the icy bite of the fresh water. his fingers harshly rake through the smooth silence that heâd soon cut through with the thorough sizing of his tall figure, making room for it to clutch along or fall back to readjust itself as he goes.Â
itâs early in the morning, about two hours before he should be starting his daily schedule that usually sets him asleep before it can even start. but in the pool, heâs awake, heâs alive. heâs alone with the constant hush that settles in his bones and soothes his blood, save for the occasional disruption in the illuminated water when his feet thrash to push him forward, or upward.
sometimes it speaks to him as it crawls beneath his flesh, roars in his bones until they quiver towards numbness, and this time it tells him a story. something heâd never read in the foreign news if he didnât search hard enough for it.
does he listen?
have you ever heard of the written tales of how minor gods are born, then cast into the mortal realm to aid in the important protection and development human kind? ever wonder why sometimes you feel more inclined to the moon rather than the sun? or is it the other way around? it can never be both.Â
when minor gods die in the human realm, they are to be reborn in a pool in which they take their first breath again, soaked in the luminescent liquid that is thinner than water, isolated in a chamber of light it rightfully pertains to. the sunlight or the moonlight. together they are called the beginning. each ripple in the water signifies a new life being born on earth, the small motions never ceasing so long as the gods are ruling.
for each new mortal life is a droplet of light provided, seeming that it is just one that each canâoh, wait. DING. thatâs a light bulb sound by the way. he knows the answer to his dilemma. whew, it almost got too serious for something that was written in a fantasy book. but anyway, itâsâ
to become a god. or in other words, just the swim team captain. if thatâs a thing. but itâs enough to draw attention, to have girls fawning over him in no time.
âerr, excuse me,â he knows heâs soaking wet as he leans onto the secretaryâs counter. she probably rang for the janitorâthere it was. janitor, as soon as he stepped through the door and shook water out of his darkened hair like an excited dog. but, âiâd like to sign up for the swim team... as the captain.â
for more emphasis, he smacks a broad hand onto the bell sitting nearby, the chime making his decision official as he displays a cunning grin.
the lady says something in the distance, something that he could only make it out to be like ânot the one you should be tellingâ.
but were he listening? not necessarily.
@chaeyull
what?
for a second he sits still in position, expression souring just the slightest as if he were momentarily calculating the most difficult fucking math problem in the world, cracking the secrets and exposing whatever important elements were there to expose in a problem.Â
she was playing along with his game, perfectly. maybe unknowingly, which settles ease in his chest for a split second before his thoughts wander off to her knowing exactly what she were doing. that was scary, nobody could really play his game this well unless it were someone who were just as unsettling and annoying as he were. she was a force to be reckoned with, this small female. or maybe she were just... lucky.
instinctively, one would narrow their lids in suspicion, harden their eyes while they search the face for anything that could uncover whatever truth lay well hidden underneath the smooth exterior of mere flesh. but jinam chooses a different route as her last spoken words echo clearly in his head. that question. is that a deal?
who did she think she was? challenging him like this, playing his game. it made her all too interesting for his current tastes, making her someone heâd probably begin to follow around campus soon, bugging her about whatever whenever he had the chance, whenever he werenât too busy out to ruining other peopleâs lives on his own. just for observation. as if science was his major or something, and she were the current project at hand.
what a horrifying thought to snort at.
now to answer her question, itâs easy. fuck no, he should disagree with a casual chuckle. but, âokay,â instead, his bad impulse shuts off the protesting whines swimming in his head entirely. or whatever it was that betrayed him just now. itching curiosity, perhaps. he almost rolls his eyes at himself. dummy. he sits up with another offer, to lick at the fire.  âin addition, youâd have to give me some gas money, though, âcause iâm not wasting gas on you for free.âÂ
and he truly wasnât going to, unless she were tagging along with him, as company that he wanted to suddenly keep close for now. not because she were cute, or... witty. probably. but mostly tricky. she would be the first person to understand his behaviour in many passing years, in his eyes for the moment, an angel sent directly from above maybe. he wasnât sure whether he wanted to destroy her for her immunity or not, throw her out the car or something. admittedly, it was a bit annoying, nerve wrecking even. but something about her made him stir for now. it wasnât bad nor good.
or he were just overreacting. HEAVE.
âokay weâre here.â he doesnât care to announce it loud enough seeming that she were already climbing out of his car. somehow heâd convinced her to come along anyway even if she refused a few times, and it ended up in a simple bargain âfor him to buy her as many notebooks as she needed if she came along. of course, he werenât going to keep his word, he needs to save some money for attending the club tonight, too. âyou pick, then we go back. or did you need something else as well? pair of expensive shoes, too maybe?â sarcasm intended. though he werenât frowning. that same silly smile returned, broad on his face. he were scheming. maybe leave her here and make her walk back.Â
would she ever forgive him though? aish, she would have to.
