In my classroom for a bit today, packing things up until next fall, when (HOPEFULLY) things will be better and we can all be here together. I was thinking, this is my 20th year of teaching. My first year of teaching I was a substitute teacher. But the next year I had my own classroom and students...that year started with 9/11. I’ll never forget the surrealness of that day and how much our lives changed because of it. Now I’m ending my 20th year with a pandemic...which as a teacher has me sad, stressed, worried, and missing my school community. I am grateful for the slowing down of so many things, but I’d much rather this pandemic wasn’t the reason. Anyway...farewell room 618. I hope to see you again soon!
