You called today. It wasn’t as hard I thought it would be. It didn’t feel weird. Apparently you weren’t sure if I would pick up the phone. But I did, and you were surprised. It wasn’t hard talking to you. After all this time. It wasn’t how I imagined it. It was nothing really. I felt nothing. Not anymore. Somehow, I actually forgot. How we were once. How I thought that I would never get over you. But you see, I did. Without me even noticing. So when you called, it was nothing. We were just us. Ourselves. How we were before. Before we become us. That was how it was. Nothing more. Nothing less. Just normal. Mundane.
