Hindsight wasn’t something Damian enjoyed relying on. It meant something had operated sub-optimally.
Unfortunately, hindsight was currently taunting him, and the more he thought about his predicament, the angrier he got. Ticking off the theory of being contaminated by an unknown agent in Gotham would have been simple, after Nightwing and Red Robin had left the cave. The certitude no one else would be in the cave but him for a handful of minutes, some droplets of blood, and he would have been set.
Instead, Damian had gone and wept in Alfred the Cat’s fur like a child after learning information he should have already gathered from context clues.
And what did that award him? A lost chance.
