I love these moments when we're reminded that Kaladin is a teenager who canNOT keep his socks in one piece even though he's only owned them for a couple of weeks at most. He had no socks as a bridgeman. Boy went and ruined new socks in an eyeblink.

Do you have any advice for digitizing gouache and watercolor artwork?
(Longtime fan BTW! Like back when deviantart was a thing long time.)
Thank you so much! That was a looong time ago ^^
It‘s definitely not an easy answer, as scanners seem to be getting progressively worse over time. I‘m still holding on to my ooooold CanoScan LiDe 90, which I got the year my daughter was born (who is eighteen now.) 😆 If you can get one - highly recommended. Alternatively, if there are copyshops or printers where you live, you can often ask them to scan stuff for you. I know that painters who work in really large format oils have their paintings digitised by photographing them professionally, so that exists too.
I've got a new T-shirt. 🌈🤩🌈
This is how Critical Role has me feeling lately with all of the new Dorian Storm content...

The Lawman and his Deputy. Wax and Wayne during their time in the Roughs.
ShinHan Pass hybrid watercolour on Fabriano °5 paper.
I had the incredible privilege to design this year’s Pride Shirt from Critical Role! It features our beloved Blue Boi Dorian Storm on hos steed Coriolis. I snuck in a little favour of his lover, tied to his arm, and some sneaky Latin: “Amore fiunt homines” is Latin for “It’s love that makes people.”
You can find it in all the CR shops! I’ll be offering prints, too. https://shop.critrole.com/collections/new-products/products/how-do-you-want-to-slay-this-t-shirt

Wayne. The man, the myth, the legend. Always remember, Ain’t no fellow who regretted giving it one extra shake, but you can bet every guy has regretted giving one too few. 🫡
Finished Era 2. And brought out the actual paints. ShinHan Pass hybrid watercolours on Fabriano paper.
I might have burned cadmium while painting this, as it sure as hell didn‘t feel like six hours. (Disclaimer: don't drink paint. I didn’t.)

Wax wasn't sure about marrying Steris. Fortunately, he has a best friend who can sort out things like these with a water reservoir crashing on your wedding chapel. For my next picture, I may need to learn to draw guns… maybe.
Also,
I’m at the beginning of The Lost Metal, (or, as I thought for the longest time while listening to American podcasts, the Last Medal), so please no spoilers. I already know it will be bad, thanks a lot, weird Instagram person.

Wax and Wayne, everybody.
And here I realise that all my German students butchering the English language are simply speaking Spooks' dialect.
It cracks me up everytime time. Brandon 100% had a mediocre German seventh-grader write Spooks' lines.
… and now it’s High Imperial *cackle*
Question about Marasi Colms. (I’ve just started Shadows of Self, no spoilers please!) iirc, in era 1, Kelsier teaches Vin that you should burn any metal that you haven’t used after a time, as metal in your system is a bad idea. Now, Marasi burns *cadmium*. Which is about the worst thing to have in your body ever. If she uses it, fine; no residue in her body. Now I’ve just read the moment when she is glad to have swallowed some cadmium in the morning so she can burn it now. If she hadn’t found a moment to burn it, she'd HAVE to burn it anyway to avoid poisoning herself. Does she keep a good hefty book with her in case that happens? Or can she burn it all in one quick spurt and collapse the bubble immediately so she’s not stuck in slow time? Is that answered in the series? This is the first time where I feel a bit of Sanderson magic makes horrifically little sense, and I’d be surprised if he hadn’t addressed this.
Two people holding a gemstone prison. The Bridger of Minds. The Son of Thorns. On the edge of a proverbial cliff, and a future no one—not even the gods—could see. (Brandon Sanderson, Wind and Truth)

Constable Earstripe. I’m currently reading the „Saint of Steel“ series by T. Kingfisher. It has romance, hilarity, absurdity, horror, and badgerfolk, a.k.a. gnoles!
I’m also working on a gouache brushset for Procreate, which this was made with. =)
Taking part in FandomTrumpsHate for the first time this year! =D I’ll be drawing Stormlight Archive fanart for a good cause. Check out my listing:
