Jongin had been introduced to this God as wellâLord Justice was as real to him as the Overlords of being a Shigofumi. Beings heâd never believed in before, until he got that very first letterâŚand that was the first time he believed in Shigofumi. From then on, things had spiraled, and now he not only believed in many races and creatures, but heâd been forced to believe they were real and very much around him without him even realizing it. It was definitely a learning experience; one he would go through over and over again, as long as the terrifying trail lead to Jeongmin over and over again as well.
The kitsune hybrid didnât really know how to explain love, either. He was first and foremost a kitsune, after allânot a creature of love, and yet, somehow, heâd found it. Heâd thought âa fewâ times, but now that heâd felt the true love of his cupid, he knew was it was really supposed to be like. That love and JeongminâŚheâd never give them up. Him up. Love was Jeongmin and vice versa. Who knew if it was the Shigofumi side of him that allowed for him to feel such love, and lust of courseâŚbecause heâd been attracted to the other for quite a while, including a crush. But Jongin knew what they had now wasnât something that could be taken away or broken. Heâd always loved Jeongmin in a way. Friendship or otherwise. And now, as a piece of him, without which he could not be whole.
Lord he was sappyâand, go figure, he was the sappier one, he had a feeling.
Snickering a little at being called a 'rewardâ, he leaned up a little to nuzzle their noses, obviously not minding how this was worded. Though he didnât look at it as 'profitsâ or anything like that.. âSo I can be the trophy wife?â He teased, always needing to give some sort of a quip to his lover. It was another way he showed his affections.
If Jongin was there to take away the suffering, to make sure that from here on out that the cupid was loved, protected (even if his lovely cupid was better at protecting) and reassured forever that he was the kitsuneâs everythingâŚthen he was all for it. Turning his head a little, he pressed soft kisses to the manâs palm, then his fingers, lifting one of his hands to take hold of Jeongminâs own. He didnât take it away from himself, however. Instead, he turned back to face his lover, holding the cupidâs smaller hand against his cheek, covered with his own hand, reminded of just how delicate the cupid was, how fragile he could be. It was hard to remember that with how strong Jeongmin was as well. As his wings moved to shield them from the light of the lamp as well, he smiled and moved his hand up to touch his loverâs cheek now, leaning up to press a lingering kiss to his soft lips.
He only pulled back when the other spoke, giving a soft hum, realizing that that was quite trueâthe job of a cupid was selfless, and Jongin had quite a few demons to deal with that heâd..sadly brought Jeongmin in to help him with, all the while not always realizing how much his lover was hurting as well.
âThen we need to do something about that,â he murmured, voice quiet since they were so close. Carefully, he nudged Jeongminâs head down against his chest, hiding them under the blanket (and wings) completely. While not in pitch-black, it was comforting and warm with only a slight glow from the lamp past the thick blanket. Nuzzling against his hair, the kitsune kept one arm around his torso, just beneath his wings, while the other stroked his hair at first, then moved down to massage the base of one of his wings, up towards his neck as well. Just holding him like this, it was everything he could ever ask for, especially after a nice date together.
âI love you,â of course he did, but heâd never stop saying it. âI love you so muchâŚand I always will.â Relaxing beneath the other, he closed his eyes, not tired but just enjoying the weight of the man on top of him. Taking in the small things all over again; his smell, how he could feel him breathe against him, everything. âWeâll have to figure out those tattoo designs soon.â
This was how things should be when one was in love, as hard as Jeongmin had resisted it had been easy to fall in love with his Jongin- too easy almost. It was second-nature to look at the other and feel his heart fill with love and adoration. In the end all he  wanted was for his Jongin to be happy and safe. That was what love was, was it not? He did not say these things as they laid there on the bed after a perfect date and in a perfect way. He was so in love with the other man that it did not need sappy poetry or a thousand kisses (even if Jongin would still get those eventually).
âHmm, you are my thropy wife- donât you see me show you off to Minwoo and at family gatherings?â he joked right back with a smirk and fake âbitâ at the other.
As they laid there Jeongmin felt fulfilled and he knew that the other was his reward. He would have to pray to Lord Justice later and thank him for this gift. For his release. They hid under blankets and feathers and he chuckled a little at how cozy and almost childish it was- but it was so cute. His eyes glittered as the cupid looked up at his kitsune. âAlways is a long time for immortals.â he said and pressed a soft kiss against the otherâs lips and nodded.
âWe do, I know a guy.â
