Officially free of the gallery, I have all the paintings and important documentation so we’re in the clear.

Fascinating to me how much this feels like a break up. At a gallery opening last week, I was telling other artists about leaving and everyone had thoughts that they hadn’t told me before, such a classic experience of no one wanting to be honest while I was “still with them”
