Post shower drawing
Got stoned and laid out naked on the beach with my husband and a friend for four hours and came up with like six new paintings while zoning out and making this sculpture. Pure heaven on earth
The ending of a show is already fairly depressing under the best of circumstances but I’m also dissolving my relationship with the gallery Ive been showing with so let me just say I am grateful that I will be getting stoned on the beach this weekend instead of engaging with my work or my career
Sketchbook pages for what became my most recent show
Shout out to this Bode shirt I bought on eBay for too much money for my opening which got immediately lost in the mail, followed by a frantic week where I kept calling the post office to see if they could locate it in Atlanta, before accepting it as lost forever, buying a replacement shirt, getting a full refund from eBay, and having it arrive unexpectedly before we left town for a week and I’m now finally seeing it tonight a full two months after I purchased it
Once I get back from my second trip in three weeks this upcoming weekend, I cannot wait to get back in the studio
The paintings I’m going to make, just you wait

Proud of myself that I feel as solid as I do in both the paintings themselves and my painting that I don’t feel like a total wretch from absolutely zero sales
The life of an artist is so hard and never lets up and you can either let the bitterness of that seep in to the thing that brings you the most joy or you can make the resolution to make increasingly weird and awkwardly horny work until the world catches up with you and folks, we know which path I will always choose ✨
