i'll be honest yall, i dont feel much motivation to work on edits as of right now because i dont know what to do with one of the requests i have, which is the oldest request i havent gotten done-
i guess i'll try something else!! i won't work on requests in chronological order, but i will get to all the requests! that means i'll skip some requests i dont know what i should do for just yet, until i know what to do :)
I know we’re trying to keep this as lighthearted as possible, but it’s likely they mean to kill more than the site, especially considering they keep pushing users to put price tags on fandom things. Fandoms have long faced an on-again-off-again legal tango over copyright nonsense and fair use.
Some users think, oh, it won’t be worth it to go after me, specifically. I’m just one person. Well, you might be right. You might be wrong. But what they will do, especially the big companies, is quietly accumulate all the minor infractions and copyright infringements until they have enough to hit us all with something worse than SOPA.
I miss the olden days (as terrible as they could be) when fandom was like the One Ring. Something to be kept secret, kept safe.
To be completely honest, I think we’re seeing the last hoorah of free fandom as we understand it in its out and proud mode. Corporate will eventually bring it to its knees. Then we’ll be back to snail mail fanzines before you know it.
