Anyway, a little update about what I’ve been doing if anyone is interested or even halfway remembers me:

So, for one thing, I did actually stay on Tumblr for a while even after my last post on here. Just on another account that was dedicated to a new hyperfixation game I got interested in. But I kinda stopped using it after my interest in the game dwindled a bit, and now I’m sort of in Special Interest Limbo™... So, that’s fun, we love that, etc.

In other news, I took down my books from Self-Published Land (I’ve been very gradually rewriting them from scratch, and they are so much better now), graduated college (only took me 7 years whoops), and now have a job providing live captions/transcriptions of university class lectures (tfw constantly writing stories as a teen leads to an accidental typing speed of 90-100 wpm). I also got my diagnosis and medication situations mostly figured out and sort of function like a semi-normal human who isn't massively depressed now!

So, overall, life is a little different for me now than it was the last time I was active on here... but also, in some ways, a little better, too.

Hope all of you, especially my mutuals -- if you’re even still here among the sea of bots -- are doing well (or hanging in there if not). I've been lurking on here occasionally to scroll and like posts out of the blue, but I’ll probably start posting here again soon... Probably. Maybe.

Oh, and inspired new technology, popularized fan fiction, created slash, forged the foundation for modern fan culture, and pushed young people to the sciences. A show that was fucking cancelled. CANCELLED!

gentle reminder to those in our community that speak any kind of international sign language

The language of positivity project could use your help, if you would like to get involved!

The main idea of the language of positivity project is that positivity is a universal language. Currently, fifteen gentle reminders as a part of the project have been translated by 56 translators into 29 languages. Those languages, as international as they are, are all written languages. In wanting to celebrate how truly universal and inclusive positivity can be, the gentle reminder self help network would like to create a video with those fifteen reminders being translated into sign language. As stated in the title, that is any kind of international sign language, since I know there are many different types of regional and other kinds of sign languages, and a lot of depth to Deaf culture, and the network would like to highlight as many as possible.

If you are able to speak sign language, and would be interested in being a part of this video, please feel free to fill out this form to express your interest!

Note: You must be 18 years old or older to participate, or, if younger, have to have a parent or guardian fill in a provided written permission form, since this video will be uploaded to YouTube.

Expressions of interests are open indefinitely, unless stated otherwise in a future post.
