Welcome to Taking Chances, a roleplay group based on the t.v. show Glee. We are a future site, following some of the show’s characters into their lives after high school. However, where they go and how they got there is left to you, because we’re leaving everything post-season two in the hands of the players. 

Our site setting is currently in the summer of 2012, and more specifically the month of July. School begins in late August/early September, and that’s when your characters should start posting in the forums designated for their schools. We have a wide variety of options for you, with colleges in four different states in addition to high schools in Ohio. Obviously we have McKinley High, but your characters may also attend Carmel or Dalton. The glee clubs at all three could really use your help, now that most of our canon characters have graduated and moved on to various colleges across the nation.

Since I've been seeing a couple people worried about not having time to RP...

This means that, as long as it's a logical, sensible, and complete reply, you can post one sentence and there, done.  You and your thread partner(s) can literally sit down for a half hour and have your characters go back and forth in really short posts, and you'll probably be able to start and complete a thread within that time.  This isn't to say that you can't flesh posts out, or that you shouldn't keep writing super lengthy posts and all that fun stuff, just to make sure that everyone knows that you really can do this.

I personally (and I'm sure the others would agree) am hoping that this aids everyone as far as posting frequently goes, even during those times when you're swamped and ordinarily wouldn't have had time to sit down to write those 300 words necessary for a post.  I'm also hoping that this helps everyone move their plots along in a timely fashion, so you don't have to backtrack and go to the past forum to complete something.

This is a lot of word vomit about something simple, but I really wanted to say something since it looks like a lot of people are conflicted over whether or not to go for certain characters or stay on the site altogether.  We really don't want posting to be a chore, and it becomes a chore if you're constantly forcing words or get bored with a plot because it takes too long to get through your threads.  So I really hope this helps you guys make your decisions, because I'd hate for you to miss out on something only to later say "Damn, I totally could have done that."

Does it make me a terrible person if I'm really hoping my brother doesn't wake up in time for his airsoft game and my mom decides we can go to the museum and then the library without him instead?

I've literally been looking forward to this all week but nope, the brother has a game that's two hours away that takes precedence over everything else, even plans that were made before we knew when the game was　.
