‹ 🍒 › VIC HAD RECOGNIZED the homme from earlier ; when he was sharing his secret. her heart was pounding throughout the entirety of the sharing —- she truly couldn’t imagine what that must have been like ; the thought alone made her feel queasy. vic flinched when the other’s voice was raised. her eyebrows upturned at his reaction to the outburst. though vic wasn’t normally one to step in , she felt the need to in this moment. “ guys ! move. ” with no one really wanting to deal with vic – or because they got some instant newfound respect – the group scattered. “ you . . okay ? ” a silly question to ask at this point in time but she thought it was an important one.
A sigh of relief left Jesse’s lips as the group dispersed and he turned to see his friend. “Vic.” His voice was soft; his usual energy and confidence lost to the nights events. He didn’t know how to answer the question honestly without breaking down or feeling ridiculous. He settled for for a shrug. “I’m alive. Everyone’s alive,” his breath hitched on the last word. Reality had yet to sink in. “Everyone will be ok?” He had meant for it to be a statement, but it came out a question.
