So he asked his landlord if he could have an extension on his rent. Only for the man to say he could come over so they could discuss it. While he didn't expect his landlord to enter his bedroom he made sure to put away any and all of the items in his bedroom that even hinted towards his job. Jeremy was doing another round around his apartment to make sure nothing inappropriate was out and about when he heard his doorbell. Quickly he finished his round before he made his way to the front door. "Good afternoon, sir. Thanks for stopping by to talk about my rent. I really appreciate it," Jeremy smiled as he stepped aside to let the older man in.

Having one of her oldest friends living on this island now too definitely made things even better, and given that right now Mei Lian’s life was...in a bit of an upheaval, she definitely thought paying him a visit would be beneficial. Besides, she needed to give him the monthly update on her studies- given that his pureblood had been what started her experiments decades ago.
