The best thing about getting my first period in three months, taking into account I had a mirena put in on Valentine’s Day this year isn’t just the crippling pain that almost ended up with me back in hospital (after it being put in to fix the crippling pain I’ve been in for 20 odd years), but it’s knowing that it’s working given all the unprotected sex I’ve been having.
