Tumblr has essentially disintegrated my blog and all the work I've put into it. Went to change my avatar to this and tumblr keeps turning it into a basic icon, apparently this face is just too explicit. I feel like tumblr has stripped NSFW blogs of their identity.

You know what REALLY sucks?

We had a working system in place.

For YEARS we had the safelock in place for a REASON. Yes it wasn’t perfect. BUT IT KEPT THE BALANCE OF THE SITE.

The lock was great. We have always had bots and VERY illegal type stuff on the site,

Here is a list of stuff i have seen under the #nsfw tag or on blogs both of which have been present for YEARS but hidden by the lock.

Gore

Drug use

Satanism

Beastality

Toilet stuff

Anti white semitism posts

JUST TO NAME A FEW. But god forbid some mother sees a 17 year old girl in a bikini and all of a sudden, *POOF* tumblr is off the app store and they lose their collective minds!

They never cared about us, Folks.

Otherwise we would have had stricter filtering ACTUAL moderators. And they would have kept the lock.

All the problems on this site could be resolved if you had

Kept the lock

Hired tumblr vets (tumblrs older then 5 years with a sfw blog that has been up for said 5+ years) as moderators who could delete these posts.

Made an anti bot sweeping program that actually worked instead of worsened the situation.

It was never just porn...

Well at the start it was just a spankbank for my favourite filth.  But then I started writing captions.   I got feedback from a few brave ladies who felt safe enough here to message an anonymous internet pervert.  Together we explored our kinks and in the process made friends. On the way: I made friends,  some deep friendships that I treasure. I got to be a support for the lost and lonely and sad I was privileged to be the someone people chose to poor their hearts out to at 3 in the morning I helped girls realise that they should expect respect, care and orgasms from their relationship. I got to be the voice asking someone not to cut themselves, when they had no one else. In short I got to, in a small way, help people feel better about themselves. So, seriously, fuck you Tumblr and your puritanical new management. We had a good, kind caring community where women were empowered to explore their sexuality without stigma and you have destroyed it. It makes me so sad.

@staff Give us a blocking system that works. Take down the porn bots, the white supremacist blogs and the child porn. Give us a reporting system that actually has some oversight. There are so many things you could do.
