Sunday Funday! It sure was ā Bar Taco in Westport was delish! And so were the margaritas!! Youāll notice I have two different shoes on in the picturesā¦I loved the way the wedges looked, but since it was just a casual lunc ( and somewhat of a walk to the restaurant) I went with nice flat sandalsā¦always a good choice. I frequently like to check Amazon's best seller department prior to making a decision on a product I purchase. This particular time, I wasn't shopping for anything in particular (I really need to relax with spending money...easier said than done ), but I stumbled upon a curling iron that I use and never mentioned before. But I canāt help it. Whenever I think of crochet or knitting, I always think of my grandmother. There are a few undeniable things I knew my grandmother loved more than anything in this world: her children, her grandchildren, cooking, watching everyone eat and crocheting. There are so many different trends for the out there and it can be a little difficult to know which to try, and which to run away from. Not everything looks good and it certainly does not flatter every frame, so I tried to narrow down the summer essentials that look good on each individual body type. Busty: If you have a large chest, a cinched waist will create definition and help show off what your momma gave ya. Boyish: Loose, slouchy boyfriend jeans are perfect ā which can be styled so many different ways. You can go with a strappy heel and a ruffled tank for a more feminine look, or stick with sneakers and a muscle tee to play up the tomboy vibe. Ballerina (Tall and Lean): Pretty much anything looks good on this body type. A tiered dress is a good go-to outfit for almost anyone. The ruffles help emphasize dimension and can create major or minor curves. Hourglass: Jumpsuits usually look the best on those with a hourglass figure. Be sure to choose a design with an adjustable waist to complement your midsection. Small Chest: Try ācropped in crop topsā. These versions have crisscross shape to show off your clavicles and can include cutouts for a bold twist. Pear: Gauchos work so well for women with wide hips and butts because the silhouette is somewhat similar. With a higher cut, the pants will highlight your small waist line. Pair them with a slimmer-fit top. Apple: People with apple figures carry most of their weight toward the center of their body. By choosing a slightly boxy T-shirt dress, it creates balance. So, itās been a while since I have posted anything because Rob and I recently had a new addition to the family. Oliver āOllieā is our new little furry monster. Housebreaking has been keeping us both busy; plus, I am a crazy mom who takes 100 photos a day (sad thing is, Iām serious). I love my dogs more than probably anything in this world. So, they will always get all my attention.
And if you didnāt know...my dogs have to be the best dressed.Ā :-)

Whenever you decide to venture to the mall, you should always have a good plan when preparing to shop. It's important to know not only what you are 'hunting' but the best places to look. Yes, you might stray from this plan when you see something in a window that you have to try on/buy. Trust me, I'm the victim of that. It's hard to leave a store without buying at least one thing. I have a problem, I know. Here are a couple of helpful tips to remember when you go shopping:
Wear comfortable shoes. A good day of shopping involves a lot of legwork.
If the weather is nice, wear a skirt or dress. When trying on clothes it gets tiring taking jeans on and off.
Shop alone. This was, your decision-making process doesn't get over-ruled by someone else's personal style. If you love it, buy it. Who cares what anyone else thinks.
If you do go with someone, make sure they are a good shopping buddy. They should be honest but kind - and have an idea of what you already have in your closet and steer you away from those items you already have.
It is also important to figure out how much you're willing to spend before you set foot in any stores. This budget should define what you think the demands of your shopping list are. If you tend to get carried away with credit card (guilty as charged), bring cash instead. It's much harder to hand over $20 bills than it is to keep swiping plastic & it will make you think very carefully before you commit to any purchases.
Use a big, soft Kabuki-style brush when applying
Suck in your cheeks to find exactly where your cheekbones are located. You want to sweep the bronzer across the hollows of your cheeks and along your cheekbones, starting on the outside of your apples and following the bone all the way to your ears.
You can also apply bronzer on your temples, hairline, along the sides of your nose, and under your jawline in light, circular motions. If you do, make sure you brush your neck with bronzer as well. (You don't want a line there).
To make it look natural, go back over the bronzed areas with the same brush, though this time with some translucent powder. Swirl the brush around until there are no lines between the bronzed and unbronzed skin.
Everyday makeup should even out your skin tone, conceal, and subtly enhance your features.Ā In other words, it should make you look like a slightly more polished, more flawless version of yourself.
If your skin is dry and flake-prone, exfoliate in the morning. This will help reduce flakiness when applying your foundation
Never apply foundation to un-moisturized skin.
If your skin is oily, choose an oil-free foundation. This tip also applies if you are going to be somewhere warm or humid.
A trick to finding the perfect foundation shade is matching it to your chest. Check out the color in daylight before you decide itās a match.
Donāt forget where your jawline meets your neck! Make sure your face and neck match by blending the foundation into the top of your neck as well.
