Another little outing | Closed
Lacey Dixon hadn’t done as she was told. Maybe her loyalty to her friends was too strong or whatever stupid reason she had for not going through with it. Maybe she just thought that -A wasn’t serious. Thought they weren’t going to spread her little secret around. She really should have known. After all the things that had been outed in this town, all the secrets that have been thrown out into the open. How stupid to think that this would be any different, that she would be the one to slip under the radar. Lacey wasn’t important enough for that. -A had wanted Dakota’s little secret spread around first but there was always time, always other ways to get that out. There was another way to get Lacey to talk but first they had to prove that they were serious. Lacey had been friends with Annie too, not one of the main group but any friend of Annie’s was an enemy of theirs.
The photographs of Lacey and Jessy Wright kissing had been photocopied. They now had one hundred images, blown up to A4 clutched in their hands. -A was standing up the stairs, looking down over the balcony into Lacey’s living room. Now, there were people everywhere enjoying the party. Lacey herself was flitting from person to person, always a drink in her hand. She’d have trouble cleaning this all up by the time her parents got home but that was not their concern. -A wasn’t the only one upstairs on the landing and everyone else was busy, hardly paying them any attention at all. They slyly pulled out the photographs and set them on the banister and then they began to walk, pushing the papers along with them, letting them sprinkle down into the crowd below. All those images of Lacey all over Jessy. Poor little girl.
She was going to have a hell of a time explaining that to her parents because there were also copies sitting on their bedside table in case she did manage to get rid of all the evidence. While they’d been planting them there, Jessy Wright had stumbled into the room. Drunk and whatever else but she hadn’t been so slow on the uptake. She’d noticed pretty immediately there was something weird going on and when she hadn’t backed down, even gone so far as to try and stop -A… well, they’d had to take matters into their own hands. They didn’t relish the task. Killing Jason Wright’s cousin, at least not right now. Maybe this would have been necessary at some point but so far Jessy had been fairly harmless. Useful, even, in helping Lacey explore her repressed sexuality. She was collateral damage but -A knew from Daisy Ramsey’s reign that this was sometimes necessary. If they’d let Jessy go she’d have gotten away with their identity and possibly put all the pieces together. They couldn’t have that, not when the game was just beginning. They left Jessy’s body lying on Lacey’s bed, her eyes frozen open, blood seeping into the duvet. Unfortunate but necessary.
-A was quick to disappear into the crowd again and nobody was any the wiser about who had thrown the images down. They were not interested in watching the fallout. They had other things to do tonight.
“Rude much?”
“Why come to a party when you’re like that?”
Okay… I’m gonna go mingle but I’ll be coming back to you eventually.
Yeah. I see you later.
“Sorry just needed some quiet for me a minute.”
“So?”
Maybe if you talk about it a bit it will get less confusing?
This is a party and I’m sobbing... no way. Not now at least. You should just enjoy it.
Oh, well… you’re hardly ruining anything but…
I’m causing drama where no is and it’s silly because I’ve never been this confused about something.
“It’s gotta be better than what I drank earlier.”Adrian took a plastic cup from the counter and poured himself one. He took a drink and it was strong but had a nice burn and taste.
“It’s quite good.” She said, now taking the bottle and taking a drink straight from it. “Let’s go a round and see what’s up.”
Why?
Nothing. I’ll leave you be, no need to ruin the party for you.
This guy I dated who might not even turn up… but he’s pretty nasty about how things ended so. It’s just a back up thing.. if he crashes.
Oh...
Oh, um… why’s that?
Who did you want to make jealous?
Oh… you know he’s not a real date right?
Oh I’m aware. He’s mine now anyway.
Only if you want.
I don’t know... I met your awesome date earlier.
I was hoping to talk a bit more but..
Oh? Sure.
“I know , I get it.” he shrugged his shoulders. Adrian and Jessy could get annoyed with eachother so easily like a flip of a dime. He wrapped a arm around her and walked with her to the booze. “Sounds like a good start to me.”
“I stole this bottle from someone’s bag.” Jessy said when she poured the glasses for them. “I don’t know if it’s any good.” she said taking the first sip and soon having empied that glass.
Um.. good.
I can leave you to your guests if you want.
Adrian only asked because he thought she was close with him. He had nothing to do for tonight as it was. So being with Jessy could be fun , not that he was doubting it. He just didn’t think his plans would of changed. “Fuck it , sure let’s do it.”he nodded his head. “What should we do first?”
“Be my fucking boyfriend, duh.” she said, and it was obvious he had no idea what this was actually about. When Lacey hired a guy to make her jealous she might as well steal the guy from her. “Let’s get some more drunk first.”
