I fucking love V x Evey. It’s weird. It’s fucked up. It’s Stockholm Syndrome if Stockholm Syndrome was real and not just made-up bullshit. He’s one of the only people who’s ever cared about her. She’s one of the only people who’s ever cared about him. V tortures her. V dances with her and makes her breakfast. Evey hates him and wants him dead. Evey loves him and cries as he dies in her arms. They love the same lesbian and are motivated by her death and V might be that dead lesbian’s lover but he doesn’t remember. They wouldn’t have met under any other circumstances, but they were doomed in these circumstances nonetheless.

I will never get over the fact that this was all V wanted from Evey. Just seeing her once more would be enough to bring some peace to her restless soul. That's how detached she was from basic human communication. And she was surprised when Evey actually came, because she had all the reasons not to. After the breakdown V had when Evey left, it was like balm for her scars.

You know, from what I read it seems like I wasn’t the only one who was genuinely expecting V to call Evey endearments at some point and was surprised he didn’t (at least when I first saw the movie now it makes more sense why he didn’t). Nothing big like “my darling” but maybe just “dear”.

Idk it seemed fitting at the time but the relationship is a bit more complicated than that lol, and he would probably never allow himself to call her that anyway.
