the World was broken When i got Here.

last week bombs were dropped. on the poorest nation in the world. and the flag. we rally round it. it sounds like oppression. when it’s smacked by the wind. and our troops. we stand with them in spirit. they the rugged stupid brave. they must make good husbands. and our president. we do admire. so smart. so gifted. so photogenic. and every hour the news gets worse:

body bags. and bombs. and bombs.

and ritual abuse. random waves of abuse.

and children of distressed accidental moms. have fathers.

who are anxious. to bury them.

will it ever end. surely i dont know. and hopefully tonight i will not care. cause you'll be in my arms. and believe me when i say. i'll burn my tv if you ask me to. and i'm tempted to. no bomb's gonna turn me off. or pull me away. from a love so promising. so rare is a love so promising.

and so there's a war out there. and so i'm not even involved. and so i'm not the one ripping the world apart. and so i am letting a man in my heart. and so there are dying poor children out there. and so i am tired of hearing about them. and so let's be humping ourselves to tears. and so let's go at it and stop when we collapse. and so then we can call ourselves soldiers:

they collapse. we collapse too. you on me. me on you.
