Im catholic and my parents fell away from the church and i talked to my dad about prolife and prochoice and stuff and i found out that they are prochoice and now i have lost all hope for their return i really need prayers and advice.. please help me.
Hey! Sorry for the late reply.
I’m sorry to hear about what happened with your parents. That is not an easy situation and I can’t blame you for feeling the way that you do. It’s definitely hard.
As a prelude, if you are still living with your parents, know they might not be the best examples for you to follow. Obey them and respect them according to the Biblical principles but know that everything they do right now might not be the best for you spiritually. (You might already know this.)
The only things I can advise you to do in your situation is not to worry and to not give up on your parents. The Bible is filled with examples of people who fell way from the faith and then found their way back to Him stronger and more ready to serve than before. Look at the prodigal son (whom God ran to once he repented), Jonah, and the entire debacle with Israel, His chosen people who didn’t know when to stop worshipping other gods. God never gave up on any one of them so know that He definitely hasn’t given up on your parents.
I heard a preaching once on Philippians. Chapter 4:6 says, “Be anxious about nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, giving thanks, make your requests made known to God.” So basically it says keep praying, laying down the situation to God while (crazy as it sounds) giving Him thanks for who He is, what He has done, and what He is going to do. While you are doing this, don’t fret.
But that’s not all, verse 7 goes on to say that if you do this, then “the peace of God which passes all understanding will guard your heart and your mind through Christ Jesus.” By casting your cares onto Him and giving Him the glory, the peace of God that does not make sense in your situation will come upon you. You won’t understand it. It will just come upon you and it will protect you.
I can’t promise your parents will return to the faith. But I can promise you that God already knows what Satan as done and He is working on it. Leave it to God. Keep having faith. Keep praying for your parents in a Phil. 4:6-7 way and just be an example in the faith for them because Lord knows they need one. But in all this, don’t worry. God’s got this.
We are praying for you, your situation and for your parents. Stay strong. :)
God bless!

For the anon about the suicide, people who kill themselves are not thinking clearly so they will not make the right decisions. That person is mentally unstable and therefore, he is not to blame and he still has a chance to go to heaven.
My brothers friend killed himself last night. I am very sad about it but will he go to hell?
Well, let me start off by saying that I am very sorry that this has happened. Praying that God will give you the strength to move past this occurrence.
It is known amongst Christians that suicide is a sin (Exodus 20:13, 1 Corinthians 3:17). Taking the life that God has blessed us with is not favorable in His eyes; however, that does not mean that people should quickly assume that every person who has committed suicide has a one-way ticket to hell.
To answer your question briefly, we must first look at several verses about judgement.
"There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you--who are you to judge your neighbor?" (James 4:12)
"But if we judged ourselves truly, we would not be judged." (1 Corinthians 11:31)
"Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us." (Romans 8:33-34)
Humans are not able to decide whether or not a person will enter the Kingdom of Heaven; that judgement is reserved for God. Why? We are not omniscient as God is. God knows what happened at the very last minute of your brother's friend's life. He could have repented with his last breath.
Do not allow anyone to tell you his eternal destination with certainty. Only God knows His final judgement on his life.
I hope that this finds you well!
God bless.
I would love to use the I Will Worship Him picture on my website. Is it copyrighted? Is it original with you? Can I have permission to use it?
I am not sure which picture you're talking about, and I don't remember designing a picture with those words. The artists' name is usually watermarked somewhere on the image. If you can't find the artist, I think it would be safe to state that the image is not yours.
If you could link to the post you're talking about, I could figure out if it is from one of the makers of this blog or from another source! :)
Hope it all works out~! God bless youuuu
Jesus didn’t come to please the religious crowd. Jesus didn’t come to pander to the social crowd. Instead, Jesus entered the world to save sinners. When we look back over the Gospel of Luke, we see Jesus reach out to men and women, young and old, powerful and forgotten, demon possessed, and the politically connected. He came to save sinners of all shapes, sizes, and stripes. He came to save you and me.
Romans 8:6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
God is so willing for us to grow in spiritual maturity that He will keep teaching us the same lesson over and over until we get it. I think the first thing we need to learn is to ask Him in every situation what is being taught and be willing and open to learn from it.
Speech tomorrow! Pray for me please! :)
I have an informative speech Wednesday. I’m a little freaked out too lol
Haha, we'll get through this! :) Good luck! -- tWoGs
