Today I get to wear the necklace my brother got me from Ireland! The three leaf clover might have been St. Patrick's way of explaining the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Whether he used this or not, we can still use this analogy to remind us of how God worked in the life of the people in Ireland. St. Patrick's story is fascinating. He was kidnapped and became a slave, taken isolated and alone, in Ireland as a teenager and spent a lot of time wrestling in prayer with God. It was said that he had a dream while in Ireland to escape to Britain and eventually France where he studied and became a priest. Later, he felt as if God was giving him a vision to go back to Ireland and lead the people that once held him captive. He went back and converted many, built various churches, and submitted to the very unknown and exhilarating plan of God. St. Patrick's life is very intriguing and today we celebrate the life and ministry of one of the greatest Fathers of Ireland.

But that’s the thing. Anxiety doesn’t win. Satan doesn’t win. Hurt, panic, fear, will never win. I hurt and sometimes I just can’t get off the bathroom floor. But that is not a victory for any evil in my mind. Because eventually, I did get up. The next morning the sun rose again & God made all things new just like he does every morning. Peace wins. Love wins. God wins. We are all okay.
