Narwhal Worm should have been just an ancient pile of bones.
Andrias heard the news. Barrel died protecting a village from a nasty, terrifying creature known as Narwhal Worm. New King of Newtopia overwhelmed by guilt, sadness and anger for 3 days locked himself in personal chambers, refusing to make contact with outside world. An old friend gone forever... again. One night a giant newt would be heard outside the castle leaving the city in secrecy. He would travel to the outskirts alone, driven by revenge. Arriving at the place of battle he sought out the creature and with no thoughts but murder went head on to fight it. Battle raged on for hours. Until Andrias, who found his arm caught between giant teeth of hideous creature, struck it with a flaming sword right in the eye. Released from it's grasp, he climbed the head of weakened monster and ended the fight with a single thrust. But found no satisfaction in victory. Rage and sorrow didn't go away. Pool of dark red blood reflecting twisted image of himself.
Long was the way back. Bleeding and fainting in and out of consciousness, closer to death than ever he thought to himself, "I deserve this". King was found outside city walls and was transported to the hospital immediately. Wounds were severe and worst of them were to his left arm. It could not be saved an amputation was in order.
Whispers and gossips all around the castle. Several weeks later King returned to his throne. No signs of battle to be seen. Slight metal thunk as his hands fall on the throne armrests.
