Hello, I'm Jetset. It's nice to meet you. I think I'm one of the oldest newsparks, and I know for sure that I'm the fastest.

Alright, I’ve got questions. One, who told the newsparks about stickers? More importantly, who gave the newsparks stickers?

I am now covered in multiple glitter, scratch-and-sniff, and puffy varieties and I’m blaming all of you.

It's getting harder to go to sleep with the others like she's supposed to, and if she (accidentally!!) wakes somebody up again with all her tossing and turning she'll get yelled at, and if she gets up to wander around and they catch her again they said they're gonna send her to Big Blue- uh, the Magnus.

What's he gonna do?? Put her in jail?? Jail, with all the others who don't recharge right 'cause there's something wrong with them and they're messing it up for everybody else....

She tries, she really does, but it's too quiet and also not quiet enough. You can hear everybody venting, some really fast or others really slow, and it's comforting but at the same time annoying and it's not like you can just shout at everybody and make them vent the same, right??

Flopped on her front, her wings flap a little as she tries, once again, to fall asleep.

Even with the cold, there's no way she's staying inside this long!! She's gotta move!! Time to bundle up.

Poofy jacket, warm boots, fluffy scarf....check, check, check.

Peter kept talking until they pulled the scarf over his mouth. Blake bundled up a little too much, maybe. Now he just looks like a big square....

After untangling itself from battling with the fence, Arlevo feels....off. It feels around on its frame until it finds the problem. Something is....bent. Painfully.

....Well surely they have healers for this sort of thing!! It must happen all the time!! Mortals are very fragile, after all (not that its smallness has anything to do with that).

And so Arlevo goes off on a new adventure, to find a way to be mended.

No distractions, no obligations, nothing but the endless rush of fast fast  move fast. There are advantages to having such a young form.

Arlevo feels the wind against its helm, the ground only briefly beneath its pedes. It can hardly see or hear as it runs past meaningless shapes and voices, can practically taste the-

The edge of its wing somehow knocks against the ground, or perhaps it was against its own foot, and Arlevo is sent flying in the worst way. Tumbling helm over pede, it rolls along until it is stopped forcefully by a fence.

Limbs sprawled in all directions, Arlevo recalls an old lesson. Mortal forms are....painful.

M!A - Godformers for the week! Use your newfound authority wisely.

Round and around, three times, four times.

Running isn’t flying; but they never let her fly as long as she wants. The Masks are busy, or the weather’s not good enough, or not enough of the others want to fly. But you can always go outside, to the fenced-in area surrounding the complex.

Six times, seven times.

So she runs, as fast as she can, close to the fence so the laps are longer and the turns not so sharp.

Ten, eleven.

Thirteen.

Do you want to see how fast you can go?

A voice like the wind. She doesn’t stop running; the wind-voice sounded like it was just ahead. If she could go a tiny bit faster, she could reach out….

That’s the spirit.

Something grabs her arm and pulls, pulls her forward, running faster and faster, and usually this is when she trips but now her legs are steady and she feels like she could run forever. The world turns into a blur of light and colors and sounds passing her by and there’s a rush of air beneath her wings and suddenly she is flying, she’s going really really fast and it’s the greatest thing ever-

Arlevo, god of speed and movement, lands in a small cloud of dust. This mortal form is small, and feels too new to the world - but it is also light, and well-proportioned. The god grins at the feel of a breeze against its wings.

This form has potential.

Big Blue says 'm not allowed to run inside anymore....

And if I run outside I gotta tie my wings back with this thing so I don't fall over when I run too fast.

No one’s getting stolen, that’s just a bunch of-

You know what, fine. Fine. We’re implementing the “buddy system.” Everyone grab hold of - let’s see here - everyone gather round and grab hold of these long pieces of wire we’ve got lying around.

Stick together and hold on and nobody will get stolen, got it?

*raises hand* What if somebody gets grabbed and they can’t hold on to the wire anymore and nobody notices cause they forget them?!

If someone gets grabbed, then, ah, the rest of you will feel a pull on the wire so you can tell everyone and we can go save whoever got grabbed. Okay?

Blackout’s been saying that you can hear creepy noises down one of the big empty hallways. I heard it this time too!! It’s like, ‘ksshh, kkkkkshhhhh.’

Pitchback wants to go see what it is, but no way am I gonna go. It’s always dark down that way….
