Wait a Minute... Did I Ask?!
We’ve got a lot to complain lately because indeed the world has gone crazy!
I got to say, I have so many wrongs in this life I could point out on a daily basis and get frustrated about it. This can, undoubtedly, cause me to get discouraged, discontented, depressed - without hope, resigned.
But then again I have to ask myself, did I actually ask God to intervene with my current situation? Did I ask God to help me? Thinking about it, I just allowed myself to get carried away with my emotions because at the time, it feels sooo overwhelming! The Word of God in James 4:2b states a fact that “You don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.”
Ehhhh~ so that is why!
I’m reminded that our Lord Jesus kept on telling His disciples to ASK!
He said in Matthew 7:7 “KEEP ON ASKING and you WILL receive what you ask for. Keep seeking and you will find. Keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you.”
Another similar passage say “I tell you this: if two of you agree here on earth concerning ANYTHING you ask, my Father in Heaven will do it for you.” Matthew 18:19
“You can pray for anything and IF YOU HAVE FAITH, you WILL receive it” Matthew 21:22
“You can ask for ANYTHING in MY NAME, and I WILL DO IT, so the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for ANYTHING in my NAME and I WILL DO IT.” John 14:13-14
Do you believe in the words that our Lord Jesus has spoken?
Numbers 23:19 says “God is not a man that He should lie. He is not human, so does not change His mind. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through?”I believe the Lord my God and I hold fast to His Word!
So before I start complaining and get frustrated with how the world is again, I will remind myself to ASK GOD for help.
Thank You King Jesus for this privilege that I can go directly to You and ASK. And I know You! You are a generous, merciful, gracious, compassionate and loving God and You, my Lord, listen to Your people. Your plans for us are good and it prospers us, gives us blessed hope, and a bright future.
