I am Jevy Mark T. Dupay, eighteen years old, and I originally lived in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. Since then, my multi-powered motto or philosophy in life is "WE ONLY LIVE ONCE. THEREFORE, BETTER GIVE OUR BEST SHOT RATHER THAN BE SORRY IN THE END."Â
Since childhood, teaching has been one of my fully aspirated dreams—but not my first choice. However, what made me consider a career in teaching is because of the impact of all educators around me on these earthly concerns. They are one of my living inspirations and motivations as well. When I entered high school, I thought I would love to lead my co-schoolmates; in short, I love to be a leader and student-leader. Furthermore, yes, serving is my passion. I am very much interested in being on top of being a leader because I have this responsibility which surely I can apply when I am on the platform to serve and so when I become a teacher.
I keep in my mind that five years from this day and age, I will have my teaching career at the great St. Paul University Philippines; it is not because I have the return service for the scholarship I have with the university, but because of my plan as well to experience and process the first parts of my life as a teacher. I know that at St. Paul University Philippines, education is being offered with good quality. At the same time, it is in the context of Christianity where everyone would be able to get animated by the Gospels.
My learning at St. Paul University Philippines will surely be essential to what I am obtaining for my career. It is because I plan to teach at the same university and for my comfort. Yes, my comfortability—it has been almost five years since I have been conquering my student life at St. Paul University Philippines. That is why I think of the touch of goodness and happiness, which I claim at St. Paul University Philippines.
Simply put, a teacher education program is not my first choice, in all honesty. This program is just my third or one of the options to pick for my college degree. In the first situation of having this program, I was not able yet to accept the fact that I did not pursue my very aspirated degree for my life. However, as time has passed, when I dare to accept what has been and look forward to what it will be, I dare to look for the beautiful butterfly effect in the teacher education program. I have been and still am fascinated by the concept behind the program—you can be the instrument for children's life as they also luck themselves with the dreams they are holding to.
Moreover, I know the truth where the power of reason will be your faculty as you deal with these children. After all, teaching is the noblest profession, for it is the foundation of all dreams and all "I hopes" of dreamers. With all that being said, choosing this program is still and forever be the best choice. With my growth, I could not thank myself enough for what this program has molded me at the moment.
