So, like, I've been trying to learn anatomy for the longest. I've only just now decided to actually use myself as a reference.

The first one is just what I drew initially before having to redo some of it since not all of it saved as I was drawing (hence the second photo, the redo). I used red as the basic shapes that I would focus on in order to map out the body (things like the head, joints, and actual body). Green is only to show the flow of the spine from the neck to the torso. Blue emphasizes any other special shapes such as the general area where the breasts would be as well as the flow of the arms and fingers. Yellow marks more intricate parts like where the eyes, mouth, and nose would be located on the face as well as the joints within the fingers since using red would make it too confusing to look at. It is also subtly marking the breasts more. Purple helps to fill in the details like the bra, the arms, the hand, the neck and neckline, the ear, and the torso. Black, of course, is the sketch to put everything together.

I am aware that the hand looks a bit off due to the fingers appearing disproportionate, and the palm isn't big enough necessarily. The head is also probably too large, especially in comparison to the ear (and the rest of the body, of course). The clarification between the bra and torso could be better. I also need to work on general proportioning of body parts. I should also work on depicting things such as muscle or fat.

Overall, I think I do pretty well. To reiterate, yes, I did reference myself, hence the proportions looking strange-ish. I marked out a picture of myself to get an idea of what to mark and take note of. On a different app, I began drawing the markings in a similar pose, not the exact same one. I then referenced from there using my marked up picture of myself.

Don't ask why I thought this was important to do or share this late. I was just bored.

I know I'm not a particularly active or popular person anywhere on social media, but I have been thinking for a while about the possibility of doing art commissions. My only problems are my lack of confidence in my art, uncertainty of payment methods, and generally slow at process. 🥲

If I did do any commissions, I would most likely start out with simple $1 doodles/sketches of characters (probably just dca since that's what I'm best at drawing). I don't mind drawing full body sketches or doodles, half body, or just the head all for the same price.

Idk, tho. I'm just thinking about it since lots of artists do commissions, and I would like to start earning money myself (since I don't have a job, oof 😭). I might start posting more doodles and sketches and possibly finished pieces just so I can prove that I can and do draw.

But hey, that's just my thoughts on the idea :^ I'm sure maybe two people will see this post and scroll past it, but I just wanted to share my thoughts and opinions. If anyone thinks I should give commissioning a try, I would appreciate you letting me know! ^^
