San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival

The Cherry Blossom Festival is a fun two week event in the heart of Japantown every spring. There is a tea ceremony, ikebana, a multitude of food and goods booths, and a grande parade on specific days.

Be sure to grab some traditional Japanese festival food!

Inside the Japantown mall is Belly Good Café & Crepes, where the food is as tasty as it is cute! They have all types of dessert crepes with different ice cream flavors and toppings.

Located in the Japantown New People building is the fantastic store MaruQ! They are the only Liz Lisa retailer outside of Asia, featuring brands Liz Lisa, Tralala, LIZ LISA Doll, 6%DOKIDOKI, MILK, GLADNEWS, and much more! I really can't say enough good things about this store. The shop staff is wonderful and the displays are always gorgeous. This is a must see!

In the second floor of the New People building is BtSSB/ AatP! This is something you can't miss in a prime location for jfashion enthusiasts. Beautiful racks and soft curtains decorate the area while friendly shop staff are ready to help you pick out something new!

Angelic Pretty / Harajuku Hearts

To start off I figure I may as well list off some obvious choices! Angelic Pretty has a physical location in the Financial District where they share a space with Harajuku Hearts. Atelier Pierrot, Black Peace Now (formerly), Enchantlic Enchantilly, Putumayo, and Sex Pot Revenge are brands that can be found opposite of AP's pink shelves.

The staff is friendly and jPop is always playing. The decor consists of black on the left and pink on the right conjoined by a striped wall of the two colors in the back. Angelic Pretty and Harajuku Hearts each have their own events throughout the year- so stay tuned if you're planning a vacation here!
