With a somewhat annoyed expression, Harper fiddled with her appearance in the mirror, pulling out some strands of her ponytail so they bounced around her face and fluffing her ponytail slightly. She had spent the last hour or so setting up for Aiden to come around. It had only taken her about ten minutes for her to set up her art supplies but the other fifty had been spent on her and the penthouse. It was funny how long the look of ‘not trying hard’ took, especially when she had tried very hard, which only made her increasingly more annoyed at herself. She had told herself that she shouldn’t spent any more time than necessary on someone like Aiden. However, she couldn’t help doing, just like she couldn’t help turning to goo around him. So, naturally, she’d spent far too long than necessary trying to pick out an outfit that looked cute as well as being shortish so she could show off her legs. In retrospect, it probably wasn’t the best idea for her to have asked him to do this — staring at him was not something she was going to handle well.
She sighed, giving up on her appearance and flopping onto the sofa, wanting to kick herself for giving such a shit about someone who quite obviously didn’t feel the same way — and never would as she constantly reminded herself. She had said she picked the penthouse because it was close to her father’s studio — and it was, but she had also maybe possibly picked it because it meant they’d be alone. Not that anything was going to happen, because it never would — she understood that. But she didn’t really want anybody to see her turn into a mess around Aiden, or any of their staff to report back to her Father she’d had a boy around. Sighing again, she glanced at the stuff she’d laid out, at least glad she had finally decided on her artist model as she waited for the ding of elevator to announce Aiden’s arrival. When it finally did ding, she shot up, taking once last glance at herself before she headed over to greet him. “Hey!”
Aiden hadn’t really thought much about his little meet up with Harper. He was completely zoned out as he got ready and got in his car. It wasn’t until he was in the elevator headed up that he really snapped out of his state. His relationship with Kennedy had messed with his head for far too long. Aiden felt that he needed a break and pretty girls was always the best answer. The ding of the elevator brought out his charming smile. The doors opened and Aiden was granted the wonderful sight of the penthouse and a cute little Harper, already greeting him. “Hey, you. You look beautiful today, Harper.” he spoke with a smile, stepping forward to give the small girl a hug. “Are you as excited for this as i am?”
