Walking through the manor was like a dream state for Morgana, who was used to a farm house that could be called squalor in comparison. She stared, mouth agape and eyes wide at the luxury around her, crying out when she backed into another person. “O, maitheas!" she cried, dropping the bags in her hands. "I’m so sorry! I didn’t see you there," she said as she turned to face them, hurrying to collect her things.

Adelina’s damned bad sense of direction had managed to get herself lost even in the estate, slightly muttering of curses able to be heard coming from her. She’d had enough of being in the home, knowing that she came here for a reason and sulking in her bedroom wasn’t going to help a bit, which is exactly why she knew she had to get out and see some of Verona before she started to go stir crazy. Finally finding her way to the main room, a small grin found it’s way on her face. The girl rummaged through her bag, trying to find her sunglasses, only to bump into someone while not watching where she was going. “Oh my gosh, I’m such an idiot. You’re fine. I’m so sorry.” she said, helping her with her bags. “I’m a walking disaster, I swear.”

“Okay, I worked at a Herberger’s long enough to know they aren’t all super breakable. I mean, i was like, the worst perfume counter girl, I dropped everything and hardly ever broken anything. It’ll be fine.”

Well hey, hopefully you’ll get to do those things here? Seems like the perfect place to start anyway. Yeah, he was brilliant. He saw the world in a way I don’t think anyone else have ever seen it before. Tried to show me how to see it the same way and… I’m trying, anyway. When I say settling down, I don’t mean relaxing or losing focus. There’s still so much work to do. I just mean staying in one place for more than a week. There’s so many answers I have to try and find here, that I could be here for a really long time. So you just left? I’m sure you probably had a good reason. I mean, from the sounds of it you felt pretty trapped where you were, and that seems like a good enough reason to leave to me. See I’ve never even been with someone, so I really don’t know anything at all in that area. I can only go off of what I’ve heard and seen. But if you were unhappy there, leaving was a good choice. Before you got into somethign that would be awfully hard to get out of.

I’m a little jealous, I won’t lie. I guess everyone I’ve known up until now has been average, and I just think that some people are made for an average life, you know what I mean? There’s too much to do and see and I don’t understand why someone would want to waste something great like that. Your grandfather had the right idea, that’s for sure. What do you mean trying to find? You sound like you’re on a mission. I can’t really tell if you’re on the brink of an existential crisis or on route to finding yourself. Or both. Both are completely awesome. I stand by it. Being with someone is hard, or maybe you have to wait for the right person, maybe then it’s easy. I guess I don’t really know. Divorce, yikes. My parents would have probably shot me first before I could even mention that.

Yeah? Well, my grandfather always used to say that there is something interesting to be learned any place you go.  And I’ll tell you, in all the traveling we did, never once was he proven wrong on that. I guess I just have faith that there’s something interesting to be found everywhere. I mean, you were from there, and you seem pretty interesting to me. Sometimes you just have to look a little bit deeper to find something new. But yeah, I’ve been really lucky. I’ve been so many places and seen so many things. A lot of stuff most people never see. But you know, to be quite honest it will be nice to kind of settle down for awhile here. Actually take some time to grow some roots. Woah you’re married? I can’t uh, I can’t even begin to imagine what that must be like.

Exactly. And I haven’t gotten to do that yet. There’s so much for me to do yet and I couldn’t do it there. Your grandfather had the right idea Well, thank you for finding me interesting. I get what you mean about settling down, but I think a lot of people have a lot of different definitions to it. Oh no, no way. I sort of.. left. Like in my white dress running out of the church left. So no, I have no idea what that’s like either.

Iowa as in the American state? I’ve never actually even been to America, so I’d probably find it kind of interesting. I’m uh, from a small town in England, but I’ve done so much travelling around Europe and Asia that I’ve barely spent a years worth of time there my entire life. It’s actually going to be kind of weird. You know, staying in one place for a prolonged period of time.

Yes, the American state. I don’t think you’d find Des Moines very interesting. The area is really big into agriculture, so unless you’re really into that, then you know, go for it. I’m so jealous, I’ve never really been anywhere, coming here is the farthest I’ve ever been away from home. Even my honeymoon was supposed to be in the country. Montana. Who goes to Montana? Anyways, I’d be more than excited to make this home.
