The capabilities of the iPhone 7 plus is insane
Because I’ve read somewhere that you should constantly post on your social media to stay relevant. So here’s a picture of one of the cameras I own. Quiz, is this natural or artificial lighting?
Resurrection or something like it
there has not been a claimed resurrection for some time and no shaman who purports to do it has ever agreed to reproduce his trick in such a way as to stand a challenge. Thus we must ask ourselves: Has the art of resurrection died out? Or are we relying on dubious sources?... Christopher Hitchens

So. What is white privilege?
Ok. *sigh* *Take a breath* How do I start this? So, what is white privilege? -- I should start by saying that this post is inspired partly by the Mtv "white guy resolutions" video and partly by someone I know who commented on it who, I assume, misinterpreted what white privilege actually is. -- In addition this is no way a comprehensive expose on the topic. Just a brief comment. white privileged isn't about obtaining or having material things. That would be about class privilege. You could be poor and white and still benefit from white privilege. White privilege is about the benefits and boosts, obvious and opaque, that society affords you simply as a function of your whiteness. Look at it this way, you have a black friend, they may have their dream job, earn twice as much as you, have a spouse, Kids and a lavish home. That doesn't mean they won't be eyed warily when walking down the street in their neighborhood at night. Few notes of clarification, pointing out that white privilege exists isn't the same as accusing every white person of being racists. Acknowledging that you might benefit from such privilege isn't equivalent to self hatred either. The thing about white privilege is that it tends to be unintentional, unconscious, uncomfortable to recognize but easy to take for granted. But it's that very invisibility that makes it that much more important to understand. Without confronting what exists, there's no chance of a level playing field. With white privilege, you have no idea what it's like to be anything but white. You're assuming that everyone has been given the same opportunities and equal treatment. No. So I think it's time to stop with the "bootstraps" shaming. You cannot expect someone to be able to pull themselves up by their bootstrap if they don't have access to boots in the first place. Any who, that's my two cents.

Jane Elliot: Black Lives Matter
When Jane Elliot was asked if she were to explain to white people why they shouldn't be offended with #BlackLivesMatter her response was this: "What we're dealing with is institutional ignorance. We have taught people that only white people are fully human, we have taught them this, of race, for so long, we have created this society worldwide in which white people are seen as superior human beings. We don’t even regard to the rest of them [other races] as human and so we treat them less than human. Black lives matter because for 500 years in this country, they have not mattered, White lives have always mattered.
Black lives matter because for 500 years in this country, they have not mattered. White lives have always mattered.
There's a book out there that everyone should read, or go to the library and read it. Don’t add anything to this man's estate. Ben Wattenberg (who used to advise presidents) wrote a book called 'A Birth Dearth'. And he said the major problem in the United States today is that there aren't enough white babies being born. If we don’t do something about this and do it now white people will be in the numerical minority and we will no longer be a white mans' land. He said there's three ways to solve this problem.
The first thing is we can pay women to have babies, like they have been doing in western European nations for years. Then he says, unfortunately we would have to pay women of all colors to have babies and we don’t want to do that.
The second thing we can do is raise the number of legal immigrants allowed in this country every year. Then he says unfortunately the majority of those trying to get into the country today are people of color and we don’t want to do that, now think what Donald Trump has said.
The third thing we can do is, remember that 60% of the fetuses aborted are every year are white, if we can keep that 60% alive that would solve are birth dearth.
Now do you hear this as a racist situation that he's created here? Blatant racism.
Violent, irrational, intolerant, allied to racism and tribalism and bigotry, invested in ignorance and hostile to free inquiry, contemptuous of women and coercive toward children: organized religion ought to have a great deal on its conscience.
