at Sydney Opera House

So I’ve moved from Melbourne from sydney where I’m staying for a week. Its such a pretty city and I love the opera house. I have taken photos from angles I found interesting along circular quay I think there are some lovely patterns in these pictures which I could use in my designs. Sydney is such an inspiring place with the architecture, and there is so much green in the city centre, the botanics and hyde park.#design #architecture #australia #sydney #beautiful

My work place in melbourne Seneca Textiles, seneca home shop. Agin its been a while since ive updated anything here but ive now got the ol i phone on the go so i think i should be able to keep this thing updated a bit more! I've been working in this lovely wee shop on high st in prahran, melbourne but i only have 2 weeks left here until i fly away up to sydney. I am really going to miss this place even though i work alone in the shop it has been very fun helping out a few regular customers who come in to find beautiful things for their home. Also helping out stylists and designers, like minded people, has been thoroughly enriching. Making displays and changing the shop's look every week has really kept my creative side going especially since ive not been able to do any design work for a few months!

Happy new year ! I haven't written on my tumblr for quite a while as I've been organising and traveling to Australia which has been fantastic so far. Before i left i was doing Work experience with Morag MacPherson  which I mentioned in a previous post. In my last few days of working with Morag I learned a lot of important things and gained some great advice for my marketing skills. I am now thinking about textiles whilst in Melbourne and am looking for some more experience within print for fashion and interiors. I am getting a load of great inspiration from melbourne - a great artists city and hope that this will inspire another project ! I'm keeping snappy happy thats for sure!

I played around with some of my materials and decided to sew onto this cool jacket I got for 3 quid at the charity shop in gatehouse (brilliant charity shop by the way) this was the out come with a bit of very orange ribbon thrown in for goo measure !
