I’ve already yapped about this somewhere else before but I find it really interesting how for a moment in time majority of the fandom’s interpretation of a happy ending for ctommy was someone to save him or stick by his side for once. Which, yeah, it is what he deserved, but waiting on someone to stay before healing just isn’t stable. It’s not assured. Instead, the ending we got echoed ctubbo’s words in the disc finale. Ctommy is himself. Even if he’s alone. Even if he leaves the server. He doesn’t have to stay to keep his love, he can carry it with him into every new attempt at joy. At getting better. He is his own person, he always was. He just needed to see that himself. Waow.
