i’ve been thinking about how quick people are to tear someone down the moment they find one vague, out-of-context thing about them—like suddenly they’re fair game to be treated like garbage.
it’s frustrating watching people completely ignore the actual things justin has done—like supporting Para Los Niños, an organization that directly serves the hispanic community in LA. he was raising money for them recently, at a time when trump and his base were ramping up rhetoric against that exact population.
so yeah, he’s registered as a republican—but that alone doesn’t mean he’s MAGA or even that he aligns with trump at all. he’s never spoken out for or against trump publicly, and frankly, it’s very possible he’s just conservative. i don’t agree with that worldview either, but i’m not going to vilify someone for simply thinking differently, especially when their actions don’t reflect any hate or extremism.
as someone who grew up in puerto rico and now lives in a swing state, i’ve seen firsthand how trump came to power—and part of it is because of this kind of reaction. people get lumped into a label and immediately written off as evil, and it pushes them away. it fuels division instead of conversation.
what happened to justin today is a perfect example of how fast that cycle spins. and it’s exhausting.
I understand and agree that what's going on with justin might be completely out of context and that he shouldnt be treated like garbage over stuff that we don't even know how he truly feels about, i mean lets be honest you don't get this information out of nowhere (especially of someone as private as Justin) someone clearly wanted all of this to happened.
I also agree with the fact that NOT ALL REPUBLICANS ARE MAGA OR STAN TRUMP. from what im seeing theres a lot of republicans who hate him buuut like i said at the end of the day we dont really know Justins views on it.
Justin has done so many good things and people talk so highly about him...about how responsible, kind, humble and nice he is and also about how he has good values sooo im choosing to believe that he aint a MAGA (also he doesnt give me the vibe of being a toxic-af-religious-fanatic-avarage-white-american-male) but i agree he does look like he has more of a conservative mindset.
But with that being said i do understand the people who don't want to be in herblr anymore because of his political views. Political views that have been harming several communities including women and a political party (MAGA) who support a man that is a rapist, pedo and a convict. And i can also feel the disppointment a lot of people are feeling cause being MAGA on 2025 its not something to take lightly and at the end of the day we can either deny or confirm which one is justin, we can only hope he aint a part of something as despicable as being maga.
Im choosing not to believe anything about his political views thanks to a SS. He has never actively talk or publicly support the Rep. Party. Buut if he ever comes out and confirms that he supports MAGA respecfully he can fuck off.
