my problem with BOTB is that it doesn’t cause drama. it just creates the same repetition over and over again. the two HoHs work together; they don’t fight. there are four nominations, but there’s always at least one pawn that is used over and over (like john). one team throws it, so there’s no genuine “competition.” and then instead of creating strategic gameplay, it makes the HoHs use the same technique each week to evict someone– by backdooring them. it makes sense, because with BOTB, the nominees have two chances to get off the block, instead of just one. it’s easier to put the real target up after veto. i have no idea why cbs likes this twist so much.
