What makes very obviously fraudulent “Pan-indigenous” groups like the mexica movement (Nican Tlaca), aztlanistas and so called ‘neo-Taíno’ groups like the Jatibonicu so dangerous is that their very antiblack, antisemitic and anti-criticism by actual indigenous groups ideology is very influential in leftist spheres, specifically very “militant” leftist spheres. Call these people out, they’re fucking FRAUDS and indigenous people have been calling them out for YEARS. For those of us who are not indigenous, it’s our job to also be vigilant about this bullshit propaganda.

I can’t speak for other ethnic groups since these three are tied to Latin American & USLatine diaspora discussions, but I’ve seen similar groups with similar rhetorics pop up and it’s like…very concerning to me because it’s obvious that these types of groups are just a bunch of ignorant fetishizers who have a very romanticized and horrifyingly detached view of indigenous people’s struggles and will NOT take any criticism of they are called out on it.

Extra tid bits:

Kalinago is much taller and younger than Taíno. He also more embellished in nature than the latter. I absolutely adore his fanged teeth and serpent qualities ie; eyes.

Kalinago’s Face scars we're made by “agouti” teeth. Possible initiation and trait he bestowed onto Boriken.

Taino’s aloft nature contributes to his scheming and cerebral qualities. He can be quite sinister in nature, but that’s how he is.
