Thanks to everyone for a good time, but it’s time for me to go. I’m barely on as it is, after all. I’ll be wiping this blog clean soon, along with all my prior Citta blogs–I doubt I’ll come back.
I need time to myself for a while, as my drive to RP has utterly vanished. I’ll probably bring at least one muse back as an indie, but my affiliation days are done.
Send “What about” and a person and my muse will say their honest feelings/thoughts about them.
“...When I first met him, I thought he was annoying. A royal brat. A child who had no business on the battlefield, who would do nothing more than distract me from my goal. He watched us like an Eldamned hawk, which made it nigh impossible to get close to the Queen.”
A dry chuckle escaped him. “Hell, if I didn’t know better, I would almost believe him to have told the others of my intention...and yet he remains completely unaware.”
“Truly, I hated him...”
He sipped the cup of coffee before him, silent, before he began to speak again...
“His insistence is no less than frustrating. The boy pushes and pushes. He won’t let anything go. If he has a goal he’ll focus endlessly on it. I don’t know if I should find it admirable or annoying, really...”
The cup was set down, his head bowed to hide his eyes.
“...mostly because...he’s much like me. Even if he isn’t aware. We both want nothing more than to save someone we love more than anything. He wants to save his father...and I, my mother. And to achieve that goal he will do anything.”
“And...he told me something that no one in that blasted search party told me.”
His mind wandered back to three words.
I trust you.
The corners of his lips quirked up ever so slightly. “He said he trusted me, knowing that I could well betray him and stab him in the back, as he’d been betrayed so many times before...that he would stay by my side. That he would be my shield. That he would have my back.”
“...And yet, despite that, he shoves away those who care about him and want to help him. He latched onto me, as if I was his friend, but he pushes others away, puts walls up. ...I suppose that’s another way we’re similar, is it not? We don’t let others get close.”
He looked toward the ceiling...and a subtle smile was clear on his face.
“...I suppose he’s cracked my own walls down. And I want to do much the same for him. I don’t want to see him have to be alone. Even if I myself am alone, I don’t belong in this era. This is Chung’s time. He has friends and family here.”
Send a word for an occasion where my muse has felt:
“No, no, no!! This is all wrong!!!”
Everything was wrong. Every calculation was off. There was no outcome that worked. Even if he were to bend the rules the result wasn’t what he desired.
“This isn’t...this isn’t what was supposed to happen...!!” He gripped at his hair, staring at the error messages that were popping up. The ‘Mastermind’ code wasn’t compatible with his Dynamos’ systems. It had to just be a small oversight.
But every time he looked through the codes...there were no errors in what he’d written. The codes were flawless. The simulations were giving proper outcomes. So what was wrong?!
Add wasn’t able to stop his arm as he swung it across the worktable, shoving everything off the table and scattering it, shattering some of his prototypes and sending papers flying everywhere.
“There has to be a solution...somehow...”
A new code. He just needed to get a new code--then it would be perfect. No matter what he had to do to obtain it.
