"Road work ahead? YEAH... I SURE HOPE IT DOES."
/ Okay, hello! I am the mod of @hxnasxng , @megamiofmusic , @confetticandies , and @jihaeun . I have just finished all my replies and these are all the threads I have listed in my tracker. If you are not on this list and SHOULD be / are missing a reply from me PLEASE let me know over IM or something. Thank you!
Alternatively, if you want to interact with any of my blogs please feel free to hit up my IMs for that too!
promosis:
“Yes, but if I had discovered a way to leave voluntarily, I would have left.” That solution seemed rather obvious to Promosis– but it did make him wonder. Was it possible that someone else found a way to leave, but just left without telling anyone? If that was so, none of the subjects in The Hive would be aware since..no one was there to tell them!
“Unfortunately the only way to leave is by the scientist’s wims. So for now I’ll continue to discover my new self, and create robots.”
“That kinda sounds like words of compliance. Or adaptation? I’m not really sure which it is. But I hope it’s not because of something being like the outcome is too bleak to try.” She hums a bit in dismay. Though the stranger had seemed far from living out a life of following under some sort of dictatorship, so perhaps not all was lost.
“Even then, it looks like we have some freedom. You make robots? That’s pretty cool. What do they do?”
firstclassihei:
Hairu’s grin only grew bigger, as she grew all the more pleased by the second.
“Let’s go, let’s go shopping!”
Clearly, Hairu couldn’t wait.
“Let’s go to Sector Five– it has all the best stores!” She assumed that the shops in that Sector would have exactly what the two of them were looking for. “The faster we get there, the quicker we can start, right?”
And, just like that, Hairu began to drag the other girl forward, far too swept up in her own glee.
Apparently, fate had matched her with someone who was almost identical to her mannerisms and excitement. She wasn’t sure how to react to the tug forward- mainly due to the fact that was something that Haeun was usually guilty of doing. Still, she was reassured with Hairu’s ability to guide the way before she could even mutter the words that she had never even seen Sector Five.
“Y-Yeah! Whoa, be careful! I’m still in heels! I might trip!”
venomoushelianthus:
Especially after getting stabbed in the damn chest, Rika remained ever vigilant and perceptive of her surroundings. So, the fact that a young woman who oddly knew about Rika, noticed her hanging around…
Well, perhaps that wasn’t entirely an accident.
Lord knew Rika had forgotten her name – choosing a young lady was placed all in Unknown’s capable hands. But still, as was proper, she allowed that woman to speak first. Announce Rika’s presence for her.
“Excuse me? It’s sort of odd to ask,” Rika said, only slightly approaching the brunette. “But by Rika, did you mean me?”
“… Ma’am? Are you alright? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
No matter how hard she tried to remain cheerful and calm it was simply an impossible feat to do so. The female in front of her was the spitting image of V’s late wife. Except this wasn’t some simple relic of the past snapshotted and sent away to her phone. She was walking and talking and above everything else living. The RFA had no reason to lie to her, right? How would any of them benefit from long-drawn grievances of what was previously the heart of the charity association?
So of course, the baker is notably doubtful and confused. She drags a hand down her face as she blinked three times. Still, “Rika” would not leave from her vision.
“You responded. ...You responded? This has to be some freak coincidence right? Am I projecting some sort of hallucinated vision of Rika based off of what everyone’s told me? This makes no sense... I’m going crazy, I know it.”
pilotinblue:
It worked?
“Yeah, I’m down for a sweet, but I’m sure you’re way sweeter, though.”
What the hell was up with that instant rebuttal? That was too quick- too instinctual! She couldn’t back out now!
“Okay, fine. But donut hold your breath! I’m a baker!”
firstclassihei:
Hairu nodded as she listened, quite curious to hear about the processes of cooking and making coffee– she had tried to imitate what she viewed other investigators do, but had never been capable of reproducing the same results. Perhaps, this was her chance to learn properly. At least, that’s what Hairu was hoping.
So, when the other girl offered, her eyes light up with a bright sparkle.
“Really? You wouldn’t mind showing me?”
“I’d love to– I mean it!”
Grinning, Hairu leaned forward as she spoke so as to take her hands in her own.
“When can we start?”
“I.. I suppose I can work with what I have. I just recently got approved my own space to bake, but I don’t have a coffee maker with me and cocoa. If you don’t mind going shopping first we could get started right away!”
Ah, physical contact? The excitement was far too endearing! Could someone truly have met her same level of upbeat positivity? That seemed to be a lot more hopeful than simple wishful thinking. What a pleasant relief! Her eyes sparkled at her own proposal, absolutely beaming.
wanderingproteinwolf:
This girl.. Her energy is unusual. So much stamina with that poor of a diet? Maybe women really are completely different creatures.. Might as well be a foreign entity to this guy. He looks down at her and raises a brow.
“I do not. I tend to not know people I just met.”
In reality, Akihiko had some carbs and empty calories in his diet. Beef bowls are not entire bowls of meat after all. It would be better to substitute all that rice with more veggies, but…then it wouldn’t be much of a beef bowl. Glycogen reserves get blasted into oblivion when you’re someone like Akihiko, so carbs could be necessary, but not stuff like pastries and breads!
“Poor manners on my part. Akihiko Sanada, pleasure to meet you Haeun. You seemed like a sweet-tooth..”
Huh? Wait, that next part didn’t follow.
“Why would I want to find a bakery if I don’t eat bread?..”
Not that that mattered much. Someone like Haeun could definitely poke and prod him into compromising on his…peculiar diet.
“Don’t think about it too hard and consider it an exchange of each other’s best interests. You want to keep me safe right? Well, hearing this depressing state of your diet I need to make sure you’re properly treating yourself too. It’s a deal, Akihiko. No backing out from it now.”
Pleasantries, then coercion. Sounded like a fair deal to her! It’s not as if she was going ahead and torturing him with her undying persistence.
She waved off any possibility of him backing out of her proposal. Better yet, she goes as far as even giving herself the approval to hook one arm around his and tug him forward again.
“It doesn’t matter if you don’t usually eat bread. This is a special occasion!”
pilotinblue:
“Here’s a hot tea.” He set a Styrofoam cup down. “Just like you,”
“A hottie~“
“Choice words! You know, tea is really good with sweets. I think you could go for one too, seeing as you’re a cutie pie!”
promosis:
Promosis glanced down at the girl before responding. “Oh, I am real.” He was also a citizen here. The scientists had brought him to the city like most of the other people. So it wasn’t as if he was a ‘random monster’ or something.
“I was brought here a year, 2 months, and 37 days ago. “ He was definitely keeping track of that.
“You’ve really been here that long? Have you discovered any way to leave in that time?” For some reason, while the initial shock still sat with her, she wasn’t on the verge of passing out due to it. Something told her that this encounter was going to be far from the weirdest thing she would see in the hive. May as well brace herself for incoming abnormalities.
@venomoushelianthus
Haeun never truly considered herself to be in danger at her arrival to the city. Things were much too fantastical to heed the environment as a threat to her safety. Sure, things were obscure and nearly fairy-tale like, but things hadn’t been like almighty hell from the devil’s incarnate. Perhaps the breath of fresh air from this new place would have been well regarded. There was no use getting upset for the inevitable! She may as well plaster a smile on her face and get pumped about all the new relations she could make.
Of course, there was a need for her to address the internalized elephant in the room. She did miss her customers, her friends... Maybe not her dad as much. The forced stay in the city wouldn’t have been minded so much if she was at least able to keep her phone and check up on everyone. Clicking the RFA application routinely throughout the day was practically like clockwork to her. Not being able to do such a thing was, well, disheartening.
Still, she smiled as she strolled throughout the city. As she met the gaze of a few strangers her smile shifted from something small to a bright and cheerful grin. A bright, positive demeanor could help pick up even if she didn’t realize it. Her cheer
Bright blonde billowing hair. For some reason she couldn’t quite pinpoint, Haeun was suddenly very unnerved.
“R.....Rika? No, that couldn’t be. They all said she was gone many times in the chatrooms... I’m sure I’m just hallucinating.”
yoodere:
“If he wanted to, yeah, sure, he probably could. He’s the smartest person I know. But I’m still not sure what you’re getting at. Why would you want Seven to do something like that?”
Still going right over his head.
“I’m saying that it would be really easy for him to shut off your wifi if you’re going to just go ahead and torment Zen like this! It’s only fair if you’re doing something bad that you get bad in return.”
Laying it thick it is, then.
She raises her phone to be in visible sight, dangling it for all to see.
yoodere:
“Seven?”
“If I had to guess, he’s probably busy with his work. If you really need to get through to him, you can just call him or check if he’s around the messenger. Guess you don’t know where he lives though, huh?”
In that sense, Yoosung felt pretty damn special that he knew. But Seven made him swear never to tell anyone. Even if he wanted to help, he couldn’t.
For someone who had rather sly, conniving intent toward the actor, he sure was oblivious for the glaringly obvious.
Time to amp up the not-so-subtle threats.
“Mhmm. Something tells me that he lives far away anyway. You’re right, calling him or messaging him seems like the most efficient way to get ahold of him!”
“He’s a hacking genius, so I’m sure he could jam someone’s router with a click of a button. What do you think Yoosung?”

firstclassihei:
Hairu smiled.
“Really? I can’t wait!”
Truly, she was pleased to not only be obliged by such a kind stranger, but merely at the prospect of talking so pleasantly with someone.
“What sort of equipment do you need?”
“I’ve never made coffee, or brownies, before– is it fun?”
“Just general kitchen supplies. It would help to have a kitchen with an oven that actually functions well... Oh, and coffee brewer too!”
“I don’t make coffee often so I can’t always speak for the specifics of it. Generally, things that you have to make yourself are usually fun since you’re pouring your own love and effort into it!”
She hummed in thought. There was a blinding chance here to share her passion with another person, as well as befriend them. The pros outweighed the cons, and she smiled with her incoming inquiry.
“But it’s for sure a lot more fun prepping stuff with other people. Did you want to learn maybe?”
wanderingproteinwolf:
What an energetic woman. It reminded him of Hamuko, certainly. Akihiko was quite polite and friendly despite his hobo lifestyle that naturally catches eyes, so at least he could make good friends here. He looked at her in a way that almost called for an exasperated sigh.
“No need to worry. I’ve got nothing better to do, anyway.”
At least he learned recently the necessary lesson of resting after some intense training- Wait, is she running off already?! He tailed after her in an immediate run.
“W-Wait up! Don’t just sprint off on your own right away.”
He caught up easily with her, though having even more running after almost half a day spent on roadwork was a little tiring. What a lady..
“Bakery? Alright.. I don’t eat carbs outside of veggies, so I don’t know of any bakeries or stops like that. You should watch the grain intake too-”
Akihiko. Guy. You shouldn’t be telling a lady to watch how many carbs she consumes. Seriously, this guy’s daft beyond all comprehension..
Her adrenaline-fueled stride was immediately put to a stop as she heard him speak such despairing words. So, he was one of those people who actively watched their diet? Impressive, but totally out of the philosophy she lived by. She turns to face him directly, upping the dramatic flair on her side.
“Watch my grain intake? Do you know who you’re talking about? That’s going to be a little impossible...”
More than anything, Haeun is in complete awe at the suggestion. Such a thing was never a thought she would have humored in her mind for even the briefest of moments.
“I think now is a better time than ever to get this out of the way then... Maybe I should have started out with a more formal introduction.”
“I’m Haeun Ji! You can just call me Haeun. I owned my own bakery before coming to this city. But now that I know you stay away from baked goods I think it’s even more important we find a bakery stat!”
It would work out. If he complained about the discrepancy between his diet and whatever exercise he did, she would just make him run it off. Who could deny freshly baked goldfish bread when done correctly?
wanderingproteinwolf:
“T…Twenty-two..?!”
Wow. She was as old as him. Perhaps he just assumed that young-looking girls in reasonably fashionable attire were all high school students. This guy’s been too aloof to the opposite sex his whole life. And he definitely was at a visible loss for words, before quickly recuperating-
“D-Damn, sorry about the blunder- But it’s still not safe to be unguarded at a time like this. You’re not gonna tell me you’re special forces now too, right?”
And the living conditions. Something he hasn’t thought about.. It should be intensely telling that he’s not even familiar with his own living conditions. He practically lived outside in the Hive due to his own search for the fulfillment he found in the same way back in his home world. Hell, if he just shot energy balls out of his fists, he’d be a full-fledged violent hobo. A true wandering wolf. Has its perks, aside from engaging in violent altercations with the powerful residents of this place.
“Come on, if you’re that restless then I’ll at least accompany you to somewhere.”
Yes! What a triumphant turn of events! Not only did she get to continue on her desperate need for entertainment but additionally had been rewarded a new friend? The outlook couldn’t have been more ideal in her favor. Playful in nature, she’d pretend as if this was more of an inconvenience than a pro, shrugging her shoulders in feigned compliance.
“Fine, fine. But no taking back what you just said right now okay? I’m holding you to your word no matter where we end up going!”
Already, she was off. Did she have any idea where she was heading to? Not at all. Yet the call to adventure was something that shook her very core. Who would she be to just deny it outright? Besides, if this man truly worried about her safety then he was just going to tag along anyway right?
“I think there was a bakery somewhere over here,” she chimed cheerfully. “I need to scope out how good their stuff.”
