Sakura giggled, she pushed it further than her perfectly manufactured regular. It had an edge to it, the sound was almost creepy. She did it on purpose to keep Jiha alert, if the soloist just suspected a little animosity but had no proof, she’d be extra careful not to cross Sakura just in case but not aggressive in return since there was no hard evidence. It was the perfect power move.
“I worked very hard on it. But, honestly, I’m just a happier person now. I’ve grown out of all the creepy stuff. I still enjoy it but I realized I don’t need to base my whole life around it. That won’t get me anywhere. I’ll just be forever stuck in the past, unnie. We wouldn’t want that. Although, I am excited to play with the scary concepts.”
Jiha noticed her old friend’s laugh wasn’t exactly the cutest, she detected a bit of anger behind it. Of course, she didn’t say anything, but it was noted. Maybe Sakura wasn’t really as forgiving as she appeared. Not that Jiha was afraid of her or anything. She was just some kid, what could Sakura do? Sure she was into some freaky stuff, Jiha had been her roommate long enough to know that, but at the end of the day they were friends. She’d never said anything mean to Sakura. Too much paranoia wasn’t worth it. Overthinking would only drive her mad. Take it easy, if a real problem shows itself then fret over it. Sakura wouldn’t want to mess with Jiha, she had never seen her angry.
“That’s really cool. Yeah, sometimes stuff from the past is best left there. I mean, I know you had it kind of rough and I did too. But, hey, we’re thriving now, aren’t we? One day we’ll both be very popular and recognized for what we have to offer, just like we always wanted. Right?”
