âItâs quite alright.â Eric took the strangerâs hand, he was alarmed at the temperature but said nothing. However, his comfort wavered, he grew slightly suspicious of the person who called themselves Willow. âUm, Iâm Eric Bay. Itâs nice to meet you.â
Noticing his discomfort at the hand shake, Willow quickly put it back in their pocket. âVery nice to meet you. I donât believe Iâve seen you much before. Itâs unfortunate as I try to get to know as many people in town as possible.â
dontletgoxjack:
âI agree with you there. Itâs just so joyful and colorful as well. Like, it is extremely difficult to be upset during the holidays.â
Despite his darker features, the man seemed to get a genuine joy talking about festivities. Things like that brought happiness to Willow and caused a big smile on their face...not that theyâd been judging him byhis appearance or anything. âOh, of course. My favourite is getting to drink white hot chocolate with candy cane bits on top. Do you ever do that?â
âNot to seem too excited, but you have no idea how excited I am that Christmas is next month. You should see my apartment right now..â
Willow smiled at the young man who sat on the other end of the bench before returning gaze to the Christams decorations already up in the windows of the storefronts. âYes, the winter holidays are by far my favourite time of year. Itâs what makes the cold of winter fill with warmth.â

âgood, i wouldnât want to take you on too much of a detour.â now if it had been someone who had put up a fight, she may have had the driver take them all around whitechapel just out of spite. âoh, iâm just headed to work and running a behind schedule. my shift started-â meg looked down at her phone. â-fifteen minutes ago??â she said it so casually, as if she didnât really care. and she didnât. it was hard to care about anything after your heart had literally stopped pumping. âmeg. nice to meet ya.â she wasnât one for pleasantries, but after hijacking the otherâs cab, the least she could do was shake her hand.Â
âOh my, well weâd better get you there fast.â Willow gave an energized nod, perhaps a little too eager seeming for someone elseâs punctually. âWhere is it that you work, if you donât mind my asking?â Although it was always nice to get to know people, Willow was also simply curious about who exactly this girl was in this strange town. It is always a safer bet to know. So far she seemed very friendly so Willow had nothing against Meg, lucky her.

Oh, what the heck. The other seemed friendly enough, and he was in no position to reject such kindness. âSorry. I would appreciate the scarf actually, thank you for offering, M-âŚThank you.â Eric smiled. He was slightly suspicious of them, they appeared a little odd to him. Even though they were quite beautiful, pale skin and red lips put him off. Still, he believed this strangerâs kindness to be genuine.Â
Willow smiled, happy to be helpful to someone in need. What was the world if not kind, after all? âMy name is Willow. my apologies for not introducing myself earlier.â Willow extended a hand to the boy.

Eric looked up at the person who had been standing at the bus stop with him for some time now. It was true, he had underestimated the temperature, but he felt awkward taking such a generous offer from a stranger. Although he did want some extra warmth, he didnât want to seem eager or ungrateful by saying so. Instead, he just crossed his hands underneath his arms and smiled warmly at her.
âItâs alright, miss. Thank you though. Iâm sure the bus will come at any minute.âÂ
âItâs really fine with me. Iâd much rather you be comfortable. I wonât miss it, I promise you. And no need to call me âmissâ, we donât have to be that formal. Iâm sure weâre close in age.â Willow could tell the boy was just being friendly although he was uncomfortable. They wanted their generosity to be appreciated, why did people always feel like rejecting kindness for pride? It was unfortunate.
tooclichc:
the other was so calm and friendly about the interaction, meg almost felt guilty about being so harsh right off the bat. she didnât think of any person as innocent, but that didnât mean everyone deserved abrasiveness. âdidnât mean to jump down your throat like that,â the brunette said in a psuedo-apology, or about as close to one as she gave these days. âjust people are aggressive about cabs these days, you know??â as if that was an excuse to be aggressive as well. she coughed. âare you headed north??âÂ
âItâs really no problem at all. And yes, I am going that way.â They werenât, but they were more than willing to let the other make it to her destination first; Willow was just that kind of person. âWe can go wherever youâd like first, you seem to be in a hurry after all. Oh, and my name is Willow by the way.â Willow extended their right hand as they shook their coat loose of their left one.

Ariel had, luckily, made sure she was always prepared for an out of the blue fall of rain, or in this case, snow, so she stood bundled from head to toe in various things from scarves to jackets to hats. The last thing she needed was to grow a tail just before her bus arrived. She found herself standing at the stop beside someone she didnât know too well, but when they offered her scarf she just shook her head.  âOh gosh, no. Iâm fine, but thank you!â
âAre you sure, darling? Even in all that gear you still appear rather tense, if you donât mind me saying. Itâs really no problem at all if you need something.â Willow understood sometimes it was just hard to people to accept generous offers. But, even if the young girl really didnât need the help, hopefully her day was better because someone offered it to her.Â

{ skin as white as snow || willow & reyna }
although reyna had been experiencing weather more vividly ever since she left her motherâs, she was still never prepared for it. especially when the cold weather came earlier than expected. the blonde only had on a sweatshirt over her cotton dress, bare legs prickling in the cold air. she noticed someone else as she approached the bus stop, but could only make out their figure in the poorly lit street side. it wasnât until the other had offered her their scarf that reyna had realize she knew that familiar voice.Â
âwillow!!â reyna exclaimed, the tiniest hint of relief in her voice. years out of her motherâs house and the fear she instilled in her about the world still made itself known in her head. âgosh, yes, i would love to borrow your scarf!! you are too sweet. are you sure you wonât get co-â she stopped midstatement, as if just connecting the dots on why the other did in fact not need their scarf. âsorryâi just.â she shrugged awkwardly, unsure if the other would be offended by her blunder.Â
Willow smiled at the girl. Reyna always seemed to be such a sweet girl with pure intentions and for that Willow respected her greatly. Innocence was something valuable and rare in the world, it was just unfortunate that the girl had to be sheltered so harshly to obtain it.
âItâs no problem at all, Iâm happy to help you.â They unraveled the red wool scarf and placed it in Reynaâs hands. âThereâs no point in one of us freezing out here now is there?â
âYeahâŚreally not seeing how any of that is my problem.â
Willow shifted their eyes uncomfortably before speaking again to the girl, surprised by her response but willing to give her another shot. âWell, I suppose it isnât but I was hoping you could help me find it.â Since when did looking for a bracelet in a public area warrant such abrasion?Â
âNow that is a good pick,â Belle says the other as a book with green binding is brought to the front counter, âFar off places, daring sword fights, a prince in disguise. Itâs got it all!â
Willow chuckled politely while reaching for their purse. âI know, I read it a couple of years back. Itâs really quite the tale, one of my favourites. I lost my own copy so I thought Iâd pick it up here for a refresher.â

Mother knows best, is what Evie always thought as she grew up. It wasnât until she had suddenly become a vampire, that she realized the full truth about herself and the mother she had once adored. Being told so many things about Willow as she grew up, the female had no idea of what to truly think of her step-sister. Now they were both in White Chapel and somehow ended up being the same species. As Evie walked the streets, she spotted the female who would be considered her step sister. âYes that is I.â She smiled. âAnd you are Willow right?â
Willow looked the girl up and down briefly, barely realizing theyâd done so. âYes. I am. Iâm sure youâve heard a lot about me...as I have you.â Willow sighed and tightened their lips, giving their sister an awkward sort of smile. Clasping their hands together, Willow tried to word her sentences as well as she could. âPerhaps itâs time to actually speak to one another, hm?â

Willow buried their hands into their pockets. According to the bus schedule, they should be on their way home and yet here they were, still outside of south campus. It was getting cold quickly as it does in late autumn, suddenly snow just starts to fall. They were usually pretty tolerant of the cold but it still wasnât favourable to be waiting in it an extra fifteen minutes than expected.
Willow noticed the other person at the bus stop. They were even less equipped for the temperature. They furrowed their brow, seeing how the blood rushed into the personâs fingers making them a rosy colour, they pitied them. After all, Willowâs skin remained porcelain white and smooth throughout the winter season.
âExcuse me, are you cold? You can borrow my scarf while we wait. I donât really need it anyway and who knows when the next bus will arrive?â
