Sculpture Garden, another altered intaglio print!
This one was done using gouache, it’s on BFK paper, but I didn’t size the paper (prep it to absorb the paint/let it adhere to the surface). Towards the end the paint started to chip off a bit because of this, as the layers build up the chalk/pigment in the medium had less to hang on to.
I made the plate by doing an engraving on a glass pane. This one really started to show me how much detail I can get with a line, those faces are so small.
from before we had electricity, I wonder if there are any burnt spots on canvases from artists who liked painting at night. like singed hems on dresses or skirts from writing while leaning against a fireplace
gouache on top of an intaglio print :)
Yoda, very jolly is he, cross stitch, 2025 JAV
Made this guy for my nephew this christmas :) It did turn out a bit different than the pattern, human error, i fear.
untitled, acrylic on panel, 12” x 16”, 2025
The first of a new series I’m working on, not sure how many paintings I’ll make for it yet.
Jomon inspired coil pot. this guy was one of my favorites to make, i’d like to make a series of them,,,,, one day
Clouded Cathedral, oil paint on gessoed masonite
This one was inspired by the cathedrals I got to see while on a study abroad trip to Germany.
Now that I think about it the sky from the plane was in my head too, so I think that’s where the perspective came from. Cool
mini weavings and tapestry weavings! i’m working on my thesis and i decided to learn how to do them.
i used a cardboard loom for all except the second from the left on the bottom. that one was made with a helloloom.
oil paint on an intaglio print, one of 4 so far from this print base
On The Way To The Bookstore, a relief print altered using watercolor and gold paint
it’d be fun to make a series of prints that have cats in the window
chine colle and relief rolled intaglio print, this fellow is adorable. i love him, he’s sooo going in my thesis
Altered Print! This is gold leaf and acrylic on BFK paper.
I sized it (prepped the paper so the paint won’t run or destroy it with time) with acrylic medium before painting
15 Generations After the Apocalypse, diorama.
I used a painting for the background and those lantern fellows were made with glycerin soaked leaves glued in transfer paper and sticks. also little electric tea lights.
15 Generations After the Apocalypse, acrylic on canvas, 2025.
post apocalyptic mushrooms, but the glow is unrelated
this is going to be the background for a diorama as a setting for some leaf houses the little creatures that came from the earth live in. they came up not after the meteors hit, but when their homes started to heat up from the rivers of lava that had cracked open underneath them.
it’s a little story
A little engraving done on a glass plate. BFK paper.
I’ve been enjoying putting fabric into my prints and paintings. I’m likely going to engrave a border around the edge of this plate too, manuscript style.
Untitled, Intaglio, engraving on glass plate.
Altered Print, oil paint, BFK sized with acrylic medium.
