It’s honestly amazing to me that anyone has any emotional or relational energy ever. With everyone screaming from every platform how pissed they are about one thing or another.

I’m just tired. Of everything. Not because the people screaming is annoying, because they’re justified in (most) of their screaming. Yes, it is bull that the President called people shouting “Jews will not replace us” anything but white supremacists. Yes, it is absurd that the general white population won’t even attempt to understand the purpose of Black Lives Matter. Yes, rape culture is a problem and yes, men objectifying women is the root. Yes, LGBTQ people are still treated less than human in most arenas, especially the Church. Yes, our public education is a mess because rich people with no public education experience are the ones making decisions despite the efforts of actual educators. 

The world, our little corner of it is a complete mess. Meanwhile, all the other corners of the world are a complete mess too, but more often because of starvation, lack of clean water, genocide, natural disaster, or wars started by power-drunk men.

People are screaming because they’re outraged. And I can’t even make it to work without feeling entirely depleted of energy because my personality type doesn’t support outrage well. I just go into autopilot with a touch of anxiety.

So here’s to another Monday of news hangover. And tonight is also my first night back to leading Young Life. God help me.

When the whole family wakes up late, rushes to get in the car for church, and the you realize everyone is wearing chambray. Whoops. But at least we're cute.

Had an awesome time at the Donut Dash 5K this morning! PJ was not fond of the stroller at all. So mama didn't run, but got a real good work out carrying her half the race. So proud of my babe for being so sweet and cuddly, my hubby for running the whole race in 28 minutes, and to know all of you who supported me. We're now able to send one student to camp for free!!!!!!
