For Jimin, the 10 years had mostly consisted of thinking. Most of the time his thoughts were about Jungkook. How was he doing? Where would they be if Jimin had been born into another family? Would Jungkook even want to see him again when he got out?
Over the years, Jimin figured that the answer for the last question was a big fat ‘No’. Jungkook had never once visited and from that, Jimin got his answer.
Jungkook, on the other hand had been living as normal as he could. In the beginning, he had overworked himself to not be lost in thoughts. As the years passed, when he allowed himself to start thinking about Jimin again, he realised a few things.
1) Jimin had been telling the truth about confessing because of Jungkook. (He realised this with the help of Taehyung who kept yelling at Jungkook for making Jimin betray them)
2) He really fucking missed Jimin

Jimin heard the buzz from the prison gates being opened, and let out a sigh of relief. He was finally a free man. With his belongings under his arm, he walked through the now open gates.
After taking a few steps outside, Jimin abruptly stopped and his belongings fell to the ground. Because before him was a sight he had only dreamt of, but never thought could come true. Tears filled his eyes, and fell down his cheeks.
Before him stood Jeon Jungkook, with a bouquet of flowers.
Jimin stood still, so Jungkook started walking closer, stopping just before Jimin.
“Hey” he said, his free hand coming up to wipe Jimin’s tears.
“Hi” Jimin answered, a smile creeping its way on his face.
“I missed you” Jungkook said, handing Jimin the flowers.
Jimin took the flowers, and gently placed them on the ground with the rest of his things. He didn’t hesitate to throw his hands around Jungkook’s neck to hug him. Jungkook, however, had other plans. He pulled Jimin closer by the waist, and captured his lips in a kiss.
When they parted again, they just stood there. They stood in silence until Jungkook spoke again.
