I had an idea forever ago about looking into minting marvelous coins, but I think this would be of interest for approximately 5 people.

when does the jared leto cameo get added
He's already slated to play both Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass in the upcoming live action Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass movie. It's going to be shot Nutty Professor style. For the Pulsating Mass, he's going to have to wear 500 pounds of special effects makeup.
can you make it more of the game is it? like the previous game of it is the same i mean
Yes.
I like Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass a lot, but I'm replaying it after a couple of years and the Turnbuckle fight is a crime that cannot be forgiven.
Interesting; most people think the Jonathon fight is the problematic one from that point in the game. I'm kind of curious what the breakdown is for what people consider the hardest boss fights.
But, if you're expecting any repentance from me, look elsewhere. I bathe in your suffering! Try the new and improved Turnbuckle on hard mode!
I want you to know that I find JatPM genuinely unforgettable. I first played it on PC, and even though I've played it again since then, I still think about the characters, the settings, the silly parts, and some things that make my skin crawl. It really reminds me of being a kid, which was a long time ago - whew - playing pretend but still sort of butting up against a very adult world, or reading a scary story that I knew was going to keep me up at night. I'd just like to tell you your art is in my heart. 💕
This was so sweet! Thanks so much for sharing!
Then maybe I'm remembering you did a track on a different game I can no longer recall. I love the music in Jimmy and have some sort of, Guest Track memory about it.
I did a track for Weird and Unfortunate Things are Happening: 1st song in this video.
I also composed about half the soundtrack to a game called Recesses. Here's the stuff I did.
Am I misremembering something entirely or was there a (cut) track in the files by Toby Fox
You're misremembering! All the tracks were made by me. If Toby were involved with this project, I wouldn't be driving a 2006 Mazda 3 with an A/C on the fritz and windows that don't roll down.
Yay :)
can i borrow 2 bucks
Sorry, I don't have any cash on me.
What is your official statement
Craig T. Nelson should have won an Oscar for his portrayal of the king in the Cannon Movie Tales version of Red Riding Hood.
Steam Sale!
Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass is 30% off for the Steam Spring Sale! Perfect time to check out the new levels and optional hard mode, if you ask me...

i have to imagine that working with rpgmaker for so long was a genuinely good exercise in temperance when it came to designing games, similar to using old ms paint to suss out illustration fundamentals or trying to code forms in google sheets ((not recommended))? i feel like the severe limitations of the engine really force you to narrow your scope down to the barest bones of development and the more "frivolous" additions take enough commitment that they really have to be meaningful to warrant pushing those limitations so you get to develop a strong work ethic when it comes to this sort of thing, i wonder if that was the case.
I think working within limitations probably should encourage temperance in game design, but RPG Maker also has a lot of default mechanics that an inexperienced dev is just going to use, regardless--weapon elements, for instance. I think that, if anything, RPG Maker sort of encourages aping a more generic RPG style since most of the people using it are probably going to be younger people who just want to make an RPG but maybe don't have any specific design ideas in mind.
And, that's okay! I first started using RPG Maker in high school, and that's exactly what I did. One of RPG Maker's greatest qualities is removing some of the mystique from game design and giving you a pretty tight structure to work with.
But, yeah, once you're used to the editor--or if you're going into RPG Maker a little older and/or wiser--then, yeah, the limitations of the editor are going to engender a more tempered use of mechanics.
As for work ethic...I don't know. There are lots of RPG Maker projects that end up going nowhere. Work ethic is something that comes from somewhere innate, mostly. Like, you have to really want it, first of all. Then, you just have to be the type of person that's ok with going through the mundane drudgery of making a game. You also have to be in an environment that allows for that kind of thing; it's really easy to get beaten down by coming home from a job every day and then also working on a game instead of relaxing.
I`m so marvelous that the title follows me! HA HA HA HA
Yeah, I've got a fix in on my end for this one now. I'm going to let it slide for a bit while I accrue other bug fixes. If you want to fix it, just play any other game in the arcade.
Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass Major PC Update
Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass just got a major update on Steam. Now PC players can experience new levels, new items, and the brand new hard mode! There are still features that you can only find on consoles, but this update covers all the new content, so if you don't have a console or money's tight, you can still play all the new stuff on PC.

leaping off the previous anon;
Were there any notable characters/party members in Jimmy that got cut or reduced to lesser roles?
Probably not a fun answer, but, nope! I didn't cut any story elements. When I'm structuring a game, I tend to think of the story and maybe some core gameplay elements first and build up from there. Achieving a fun game is a lot of work, for sure, but there are lots of ways to make a game fun. The story is always my first consideration, and everything else is there to support it. So, I'm unlikely to cut any story stuff (this is also, kind of fundamentally, why Hymn is taking so long).
Was there anything for JATPM that you wanted to do but couldn't for some reason (i.e rpgmaker limitations, general inexperience, lack of time)?
Yeah, of course. I had to make some really early decisions to limit the game in certain ways because of RPG Maker. The encounter system, for example, probably would have been more similar to Hymn's if RPG Maker had decent collisions. By that I mean that it still would have shot to a battle screen, but I would have had on-map encounters, which would have drastically changed the level design. But, that was a pretty quick decision because I knew the engine pretty well at that point.
Another one off the top of my head: in the level behind the waterfall, I originally wanted the music to be randomized. So, I was going to try to a music track that was just chord changes and then have randomized notes (like you see in the entrance to the level) play over it. There were too many opportunities for the rhythm to desync, though, so I compromised by splitting the randomization into its own area and having the music sound like a more composed version of that.
I was going to have a little chess puzzle in Mad Queen's Castle, but I honestly just gave up before designing it because I thought anything using or subverting chess rules was going to be too much of a choke point for certain players, and it would have taken away from the tension of the area.
I'm not really sure what else, but I'm sure there were other things. I'd say that most of my decisions were made in the planning process, so ideas like on-map encounters were shot down before they really had time to germinate into a real desire for the game. Many of the gameplay ideas started with, "How can I get this effect in RPG Maker?" rather than just, "I want to do this."
