ATLCC 2025 Review

I actually had a great time meeting so many cool artists. Thank you so much to all of you who gave advice and tips and answered my questions! I’ve learned so much and even made some art trades.

Now monetarily speaking, this was my 4th convention, and it should not have been💀, since I didn’t make table ($300).

Friday - $43.50

Saturday - $154.50

Sunday - $59.26

TOTAL - $257.26

Friday was dreadfully slow, “tumbleweeds,” as one of the bigger tables I know put it😂 Saturday gave me hope and Sunday was a Sunday lol. I know artists who pulled $1.5k-$2k though, so it wasn’t terribly slow, just not worth the booth fee for me (yet!)

Foot traffic was fairly steady Sat and Sun. Many of the attendees (in insane cosplays!) only came to see the Hazbin & Helluva panels and meet the VAs- So a lot of younger ‘lookers’ and not many customers. A lesson to learn about knowing a con’s audience haha. I also personally don’t have a lot of Helluva/Hazbin stuff yet.

If I wanted to do ATLCC next year, I’d first:

💫 upgrade my booth setup

💫 expand my collection with keychains (my buttons + rune pin were best sellers, the people love a good trinket)

💫 peep the panels/VA’s and make art geared toward them!!

Our main girl Wintr has the prosthetic legs. I gave their story the unfortunate workshop name “The Running Zone” in middle school💀 so I’ll be tagging their stuff #TRZ. You will learn to love the little guys in my head if you stay :)

Pearl Viktor and White Diamond Machine Herald because I am ill™️

Don’t ask me how a pearl became White Diamond I am simply the messenger. (I’ve never made an au lol)

A semi-baroque Pearl with a limb enhancer worn on his weaker right leg (caused by the pit in his pearl).

He was assigned to Jayce, who I think should be a Quartz of some sort (strong, stable, work with their hands, loyal). I’d love for them to fuse into an Opal (Pearl + Amethyst) or Rainbow Quartz (Pearl + Rose Quartz) but maybe he’s higher ranking as a Talis (and Pearl “owner”)- so a Jasper or an Agate maybe?

Post-finale, I feel like JayVik would be a permafusion like Garnet. But Pearls make pretty unstable fusions; canon with Viktor suddenly leaving and Jayce saying “he does that sometimes”😭 And Vik later admitting “I was clouded by emotions”- reminds me much of SU’s Pearl lol.

Also I just think Vik and Pearl would enjoy engineering together :)

Every time the cog fell cause I knew I wasn’t crazy

Even between the 2nd and 3rd falls, Viktor changes: in the 2nd, he’s breathing with arcane energy radiating, while in the 3rd, he’s lifeless, and the cog spins closer. I first thought this was just to illustrate the “two sides of the same coin” line in his monologue, but it’s even more inconsistent in falls 1 and 4

I eventually found a theory that Ekko was altering timelines, attempting to optimize outcomes, particularly during Jinx’s fight. Interesting, cause we don’t see Ekko in this ep. but he’s also the only witness to the Machine Herald and Rune’s destruction- we wouldn’t have caught him unless we were in his POV, like we were then!

Now I wonder if there’re more subtle timeline shifts in the ep. we missed?
