Diary Entry #1
Let me begin by saying I don’t know where I am. I know I am in a cell. It has to be. The bed is the type that’s just a platform, bolted to the wall with a rubber mattress. There’s at least a little privacy screen around the toilet, not that it matters. I think they have cameras in the ceiling. Maybe the wall. Maybe both. I doubt neither.  In the end. It’s a cell. A dark cell with crappy lighting.Â
They took my things. My bag, my phone. Even my clothes.. Left me in what looks like the kind of thing you’d see people in a psychiatric hospital wear. In the movies I mean. Drawstring pants, t-shirt that doesn’t quite fit and looks like it’s been worn a thousand times before. No shoes though. Probably think I’ll use it to do something. Probably would use it to beat the hell out of the first person that comes into the room.Â
Shoes or no shoes, that’s what I tried anyway.Â
A guard came in, decked in armor and apparent expectations. Probably thought I’d be more afraid and just let him do what he wanted. No such luck there…. I tried to set him on fire. Technically I succeeded, though it didn’t matter. A body reacts a certain way to being stunned. Electricity does that, you see. I’m not immune to effects like that, so down I went. And there I stay, half conscious and twitching.  They must have upped the power. Maybe they know it wouldn’t kill me.Â
The hallway is a hazy blur. There’s lights in the ceiling and the occasional door, but everything in the end just becomes gray, gray, another shade of gray and a splash of light gray for accent. One would think, being drug down a hallway, there were other things to think of. Where am I going? Who are these people? What do they even want? I suppose this is right, but you gotta remember, I was half out.Â
So I’m in a room. It’s a doctory room, no mistaking that.  The table they strapped me to screamed medicine. The cabinets, glass fronted,  held  the typical things.. Cotton balls, tongue depressors. Bone saws.. It might have been the latter that made me most uncomfortable. So what do i do? I struggle. Puny leather bonds couldn’t keep me in. What did they think? I was just some human, easy prey for their creepy experiments? Â
I manage to get a hand free before the pinch of a needle in my arm begins to infect my limbs with such an unbearable weight. I didn’t even manage to strange the guard that had come to close before the free arm drops and I begin to drool. Sad faces.Â
The “doctor” explained that I was here to help the world better understand my kind.Â
“Urrrrgh?”
I replied. Or something like that. It’s hard to talk when there’s too much slobber in your mouth and your brain is filled with duuur.Â
“ Miss Thibodeaux, we are of the understanding you are not what you have lead the world to believe. A wolf in sheep’s clothing. ”  He was really creepy. Like.. REALLY.. And that comment stuck in my head, even now, I didn’t have to ask what he meant. I shoul d have known it was coming. Still, one can always hope for the better outcome, right?
The formalities were promptly done away with, giving way to the “medicine”: blood drawing, tissue samples. Simple and mostly painless. That was bearable.Â
It was when they started cutting that I had a problem.Â
I’m not gonna go into detail, but It’s good I can heal fast. Otherwise I’d look really bad. And it wasn’t so bad. I mean, I made unhappy sounds, but after you’ve been mauled by a bear, physical pain kind of dulls.Â
When I came to again, I was back in the room. They’d left a sandwich and this tablet. I tried skype, but it doesn’t work. Guess they just want to see what I do. Well. Here it is. I’m writing. I don’t know who you are, but I will set you all on fire and that will be a welcome end after the things I’ll do to you.Â
This mattress sucks.. My head still hurts though. My heart hurts. Â I miss my Brulee.Â
I just want to go home.
