Two new hunts done!

Two more ultra beasts at WAY, WAY under odds

413 soft reset for shiny Kartana and only 89 for shiny Buzzwole. I caught them both pretty easily. It felt like it took about as much time to find a buzzwole wormhole as to then find the shiny. Anyway, really like these too especially Buzzwole. Looking for nickname suggestions on kartana! I named buzzwole Gamma and I like that. They're both in game monsters too which is fun considering how bad my team has been.

My ultra beast luck has been ridiculous. Pheromosa in 512, Xurkitree in a little over 2200 if I remember off the top of my head. All together, that's 4 hunts safely don't add up to odds combined. Not in a row, but still.

My ultra sun playthrough team is bad so I'm gonna hunt kartana. My ultra beast luck has been really good, knock on wood, so I'm hoping it sticks

I'm excited about this one!! I got this one for my little brother bc he likes nosepass and I think it looks great and I'm gonna hunt another one later for me to keep. I think it's so good

holy hell I was soft resetting to hunt for shiny regigigas and I got this message. The manual said the solution was to erase my save data, which would have lost literally dozens of shinies including 4 dedicated hunts. It resolved itself but that was way scary and I'm considering transferring my shinies out asap

anyway shiny hunting has been a major source of joy for me in a very difficult year and shiny Zororoak has quickly found its way into my heart

I've been figuring out how to hunt for shiny dens and.... Turns out it's not that hard. After my first very long and difficult hunt for dusk lycanroc (named Luna) I got the hang of it and got all of these plus a Zorua over the weekend! Palossand is something I was Masuda hunting for a good chunk of time before I took a break to figure this out. Worth it if you want fast shiny hunting, especially for hidden abilities or gigantamax.

My second isle of armor shiny! Clauncher is a favorite of my little brother and it's a great looking shiny. Another short hunt, only about 60 eggs again which is crazy. Something I like about a lot of shiny hunting methods is how you spend a long time looking at the same thing over and over so you end up kind of meditating on the appearance of a Pokemon. Anyway I like how clauncher has that white little underbelly that I never noticed before this hunt. No nickname yet for this one!

My first isle of armor shiny! This was a masuda method egg hunt and it only took about 60 eggs or so! Very quick hunt. In retrospect I'm not super sure why this was my first but something about Pinsir grabbed me. Not yet nicknamed.

This one was...... Special. So, after my Xurkitree hunt, I wanted to take it out into battle just to test it out. And, crazily enough, the very next encounter I got was this fella, who I nicknamed King Krok. The only time I ever have gotten back to back full odds shinies and probably the only time I ever will. I transferred him up to sword, evolved him, made him battle ready, and used him in my team for the isle of armor dlc.

The odds of back to back full odds shinies in this game are not just one in a million. They're almost one in 17 million.

This was my second full odds hunt ever! I did it a couple months ago in ultra moon. It took a little under 2400 encounters. I made the mistake of resetting on my first encounter with Xurkitree so I had to sit through a fairly lengthy cutscene each encounter. I named it Baby, just because it felt appropriate

This was my first shiny hunt! I soft reset in soul silver for like a week, around 6300 SRs to get this beauty who I named Moby because it was my white whale. I remember when I encountered it very vividly because it felt like my heart was gonna pop right out of my chest
