Game where you play as a working dog pup but all the humans speak in a conlang, so no matter what language irl you speaks, you donāt know what theyāre saying or asking.
At random, you get selected a field of work to go into (herding, bomb detection, psych support, guiding the blind, etc.) but do not know what it is. The goal of the game is to complete training. The only way to lose is by washing out of your assigned job.
The trick to winning? When itās not training time, go around and look at writing on the fridge, at books, at the homework left on the table. Eavsdrop. The conlang is fully developed, so the easiest way to win every time is to observe. Find out what words mean what. Find out how it applies to your training.
Find out what breed of dog you were assigned. You can not look in the mirror to find out, since dogs canāt recognize themselves visually. Different breeds have different needs, and those needs might be the key to finding out what your job will be and what breed you are. Malinois and Australian shepherds will be incredibly prone to zoomies. Zoomies will have your controls disabled as you run around, clumsily knocking into things, tearing things up, etc. Depending on your job, this might be a good thing.
Donāt look around and lose track of time though! You have a list of needs to take care of. If your bathroom meter runs out while youāre too distracted to go outside, you might wash! Service dogs donāt go to the bathroom inside. If you donāt manage your energy levels, you might be too sleepy during training, or worse, get zoomies during training and wash for being too excited and undisciplined.
Here are some job possibilities you might be given, all with extensive research to the tasks typically trained for, gear used, and training protocols for the dog in order to be as sensitive to real life individuals as possible:
- childrens reading assistance dog
Level 2: Personal Service Dog
