June 25th - Jinny Hex
Jinny grew up in the small town of Dripping Springs, Texas. After seeing her girlfriend having fun with another girl, Jinny stormed off and accidentally stumbled upon a robbery at a local bowling alley. Taking control of the situation, Jinny disarmed the criminals and stopped them before they could get away. Later that day she returned home and excitedly recalled her adventure to her mother. Sensing that it was time, Jinny’s mother showed her the trunk that was owned by Jinny’s great-great-grandfather, the notorious Old-West bounty hunter known as Jonah Hex. This trunk was full of all the various strange, curious and powerful items the adventurer had collected over the years. Jinny would later use these artifacts in her own heroic career as a member of the newest iteration of the teen superhero squad, Young Justice. Jhelum heroine first appeared in Batman Giant #4 (2018).

hi. i just learned abt this character today and as someone who grew up in dripping springs myself I gotta say the comic is soooo funny bc this character is like. a gunslinging cowboy who’s never been to a big city yet drip is literally a 20 min drive from the heart of austin. there’s not even a bowling alley there. dont know if you care just thought I’d share

Like, yea this state is big, the cities are huge, so even suburbs can be hard to gauge but like.... its RIGHT there fjdakls I have family there and when I saw the bowling alley scene i had to be like "wait no... i wouldve gone there bc there aint SHIT to do in drip otherwise" fjdklsa;fda; @ dc i am BEGGING y'all to visit the real world locations that ur trying to use PLZ
