Breathing evenly, Jinri held onto Amber as she nodded her head and they exited the store - her heartbeat increasing as the group of males turned to look at them.

I’ll be your hyung as long as you want me to be.” She gave a small smile before they finally took that step to leave the store; instantly noticing the younger’s gaze towards the males. She kept giving reassuring hand squeezes while practically pushing her to the car. “Don’t look at them, that will only make it worse— they’re waiting for an opening so let’s not give them one.” Her words came out soft and calm as Amber continued to personally escort the other to the passengers side of the vehicle. She was fully prepared to fight if it got to that point, even if she was outnumbered; she wouldn’t let them put a hand on her friend.

“Is forever an option? Because I want you to be my hyung forever.” She said with a small smile, her grip on Amber’s hand tightening as she moved to the car. She listened to Amber’s words and turned her gaze away from the males, suddenly very away of the shortness of the shorts she was wearing and she frowned to herself, now regretting wearing such a short item of clothing as she inched closer to the older female. Noticing the serious and almost fierce look on her friend’s, Jinri squeezed her hand - hoping to be reassuring as they walked away from the store.

Who else is gonna come and pick me up from a convenience store at two in the morning?” she asked with a smile, wrapping an arm around Amber and squeezing her before she nodded, unease filling her system as she took her best friend’s hand and followed her. “I’m literally this close from having a heart attack…” she said softly.

She smiles and nods. “I know, but.. you and Soojung are growing old so fast. I can’t help but feel a little forgotten. It’s ok, I know you girls will be perfectly fine on your own.” She gave a light squeeze when their hands entwined; soon beginning to walk towards the stores entrance. “You’re going to be fine. Just stay beside me and take deep breaths. I won’t let them come close to you.” Her last sentence was spoke while her hand was on the door handle and her eyes locked onto the males. Amber was more angry than scared. “You ready?”

Jinri laughed quietly and patted Amber’s mid back. “It’s okay. I was going to argue with you anyway if you did.” she shook her head, handing the woman her card. “Oh, I got my license so…I can drive if you want?” she suggested, feeling a little bad that she hadn’t told Amber that she had gotten her license as she pulled out the aforementioned identification card and handed it to Amber so that she could look at it. Looking back at the woman behind the counter, Jinri took back her card and the items and bowed in thanks. Now they just had to leave…and walk past the group of males that were still outside.

“You got your license?” She raised a brow before her attention was brought down to the card, taking it in her hand as a small smile spread on her lips. Amber was happy the younger was growing up and doing things on her own but she couldn’t help be feel a little disappointed she’s not needed as much; plus all ID photos are a little funny. “I’m proud of you! But I’ll drive, the likely-hood of getting pulled over is one out of ten. And you don’t have to worry. They won’t get near you.” She took the plastic bag from Sulli before holding out her free hand, giving a reassuring smile that everything will be alright.

“Far too long.” she agreed with a smile, keeping an arm around Amber as she smiled softly, the back of the hand that was holding the ramen coming up to wipe her eyes. “Let’s buy this and the popcorn and we’ll go, ok?” She said, laughing at Amber’s words as she stepped up to the counter and handed the woman behind the counter the ramen cup and popcorn. “It’s the same for you, I’d do anything for you too, you know that right?” she asked, moving her hair to one side of her neck as she paid for the items.

“I know that, and I’m grateful. But let me pay for those.” She nods in agreement; her hand automatically reaching towards her pocket where her wallet should have been, only to find it empty. Her heart dropped to the pit of her stomach as she checked the other pocket but to no avail it was unoccupied as well. “Shit.” She whispered underneath her breath. Not only was Amber sorry for making the younger pay but she was also driving without her license. “Uhh.. is your apartment closer from here or is mine?”
